🐾 Patient Spotlight 🦷

Molly recently visited us for a dental procedure to improve her overall health and comfort. Dental radiographs (X-rays) are an essential part of every dental procedure because they allow us to evaluate the structures beneath the gumline, where many dental problems can go unnoticed.

Did you know that dogs have 42 permanent teeth? Unfortunately, Molly had 14 teeth removed due to advanced dental disease. While that may sound like a lot, removing diseased teeth often provides significant relief from chronic pain and infection.

We think Molly will be feeling and eating much better as she recovers. 💗 🐕

What is Laser Therapy? 👀

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy occurs when a therapeutic dose of light energy reaches target tissue and results in decreased inflammation, decreased pain, and accelerated healing. Unlike surgical lasers, PBM lasers are generally designed to stimulate cellular activity rather than cut or destroy tissue.

Recently, Bourbon has been receiving laser therapy for a suspected nerve-related condition affecting bladder control. His mom says he enjoys laser therapy so much, he has fallen asleep on several occasions!
