Cora - Full Recovery Video - Pleasanton, KS

At 14 years old, Cora needed a little help finding her way back to safety.

When Cora went missing in Pleasanton, Kansas, and didn’t return, her owners were understandably worried. We found her stranded on the bank of a pond, without the strength to climb back up.

From a glance across the field, you wouldn’t have known she was there. She was tucked out of sight in a spot that could have been easily overlooked.

For a senior dog, a situation like this can become dangerous quickly. Cora wasn’t simply wandering—she was stuck and needed help.

We’re thankful her owners brought KC Pet Search & Rescue into the search and trusted us to help their girl. ❤️

Although we’re based in Kansas City, our recovery work regularly takes us beyond the metro into other communities across Kansas and Missouri through our extended remote service area. Families outside the city need help, too.

Help more families know where to turn. Become a Community Partner.

You don’t need a drone or search experience to make a difference. Sharing our recovery stories and helping a worried pet owner connect with us can be the beginning of another happy reunion. Whether you’re in Kansas City or a surrounding community, you can help us reach families who may not know professional help is available.

Pabst is back with his person! ❤️🐾

Richard and I were able to locate Pabst and call Livi, but she deserves so much credit for how this recovery unfolded.

Livi, even when the plan changed and we had to regroup, you stayed composed. You sat quietly, kept your voice calm and steady, and resisted the urge to call repeatedly or rush the moment. As emotional as it must have been to see him, you gave Pabst the time and calm presence he needed. I truly believe your patience played a huge part in bringing him safely back into your arms.

Seeing your happiness was more than enough thanks. Richard and I were thrilled to be part of it.

Thank you to Richard for helping see this recovery through, and to Sierra Baber with KC Dog Kansas City Dog Trappers and her friends for their help and support. Thank you also to everyone who shared sightings and took the time to let someone know what they saw. Those reports mattered—they helped us find him.

Welcome home, Pabst. And Livi—you did an amazing job. ❤️

The next family who needs us may not know we exist. Your recomendation could save a pet.

In just seven months, KC Pet Search & Rescue has grown so much—and people like you are a big reason why. Every recommendation, every shared post, and every “Have you called these guys?” helps connect us with a family searching for their missing pet.

We bring thermal drones, night-vision cameras, professional humane traps, and experienced recovery support. **You help us reach the people who need them. Most of our recoveries wouldn’t be possible without referrals from people who care enough to pass our name along.

See a post about an indoor cat that escaped?** Share us with their family.

Someone’s dog ran off and is out in the streets?** Recommend us. Help them find support while they’re trying to figure out what to do next.

Didn’t know we existed until this video?** Follow our page. You may not need us today, but someone you know might need us tomorrow.

Please watch this short video, share it, and help more families across the Kansas City metro know that help is available.

**To you, it’s a few seconds and a share. To someone searching for their best friend, it could be the connection that changes everything.**

Thank you for helping KC Pet Search & Rescue grow—and giving us the opportunity to help bring more pets home. ❤️🐾

🐾 REUNITED - BEANIE’S TRAP CAM RECOVERY 🐾

This is Beanie—an indoor-only gray tabby who slipped out of her second-floor apartment near East 30th Street in Kansas City.

Our Trap Cam captured this incredible view from inside the humane trap as Beanie entered and was safely contained. This technology allows us to monitor the trap, confirm the correct cat and respond quickly once the door closes.

Humane trapping is more than placing food inside a cage and hoping. Location, bait, timing, monitoring and patience all matter—and this time, they helped bring Beanie to safety.

Because Hope Doesn’t Bring Them Home.
