After a summer full of activity, many pets suddenly find themselves home alone for longer periods of time. While some adapt quickly, others may show signs of stress or separation anxiety.

Keep an eye out for:

🐾 Pacing
🐾 Destructive chewing
🐾 Changes in appetite
🐾 Accidents in the house

A consistent routine, daily exercise, enrichment toys, and quality time together can help make the transition a little easier.

🌟 August's Dog of the Month: Ryder! 🌟

Hi, I'm Ryder Pup! I know I am special! I'm a Maltipoo that is super cute and has a big personality. I require a lot of attention, and I have a voice I like to share with everyone. My family refers to me as a hot mess, but I really am just spoiled rotten.

At home, my favorite thing to do is lay on the back of the couch and look out the windows to bark at everything! In my mind, I really am just protecting my family. I know I am in trouble for barking when my family takes the fun out of it by closing the blinds.

My favorite treat is homemade peanut butter cookies. I love going for rides in the car, especially when I get a pup cup from DQ. I also love spending my days at puppy camp, where they spoil me rotten.

Thank you to the Venn family for being part of the Cedar Creek Pet Hospital family. We love having Ryder at Day Play and are so excited to celebrate him as our August Dog of the Month! 🐾
