This tiny Pomeranian stole our hearts when we pulled her from the shelter just in time. Found abandoned in a box in a ditch, we can only imagine the challenges she’s faced in her 15 years of life. 💔

Despite being quite elderly and having some significant health issues—like limited sight and hearing, severe dental problems, and weakened legs—Lolly’s spirit is as bright as ever! After a much-needed dental cleaning, she's on the mend and showing us every day that she's not ready to give up.

Lolly's favorite past times are being held, eating, and sunbathing. She's telling us every day that she has a lot of life left to live.☀️🐾 Even while battling an upper respiratory infection, Lolly continues to remind us that every life is precious and worth saving.

We're committed to saving at risk and euthanasia list animals like Lolly because she is worth it.

Bar K is opening their doors to our $10 MICROCHIP EVENT!

With the shelter changing their policies, we want to make it sooo much easier to be reunited with your pet if they get picked up.
$10 includes your microchip and registration.
Dogs and cats are welcome. But please bring your cats in a carrier and leave them in the care with the ac running while you register inside. Because cats aren’t allowed inside, Oakley will microchip them outside.
Let the front door know you are there for a microchip and they will direct you to our booth.

No need to pay an entry fee unless you plan on staying for your dog to play! ❤️❤️

Meet Cotton Candy!!

Cotton Candy (or CC as we call her) is a very shy girl. She loves playing with friends and exploring but she will do this in her own time. CC gets along with other dogs who are calmer and tend to match her energy. She doesn't like to jump into play right away but will do it as she gets to know the dog. She would do best in a home with one or two playful mild mannered medium to large dogs. CC still doesn't understand the use of a leash. Because of the trauma and history with this group and leashes, they will only be adopted out to people with fences/yards. She will need continued leash training.

Cotton Candy appears to be crate and potty trained but will need continued training on this as she's only 9-10 months old. She is about 40lbs. She previously had entropion surgery on her right eye with us. She is healing so well from that.

CC is spayed, current on vaccines and preventions, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Meet Skittles!!

Skittles is an absolute doll!! She loves playing and just hanging out with people. Skittles loves pretty much every dog and person she has met. She even met a cat and did well! Skittles is such a playful girl! She would do best in a home with one or two playful medium to large dogs. Skittles still doesn't understand the use of a leash. Because of the trauma and history with this group and leashes, they will only be adopted out to people with fences/yards. She will need continued leash training.

Skittles appears to be crate and potty trained but will need continued training on this as she's only 9-10 months old. She is about 45lbs.

Skittles is spayed, current on vaccines and preventions, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Meet Gumball!!

Gumball is a very shy girl. She loves playing with friends and exploring but she will do this in her own time. Gumball gets along with other dogs who are calmer and tend to match her energy. She doesn't like to jump into play right away but will do it as she gets to know the dog. She can play for days after she starts though! She would do best in a home with one or two playful mild mannered medium to large dogs. Gumball still doesn't understand the use of a leash. Meet Gummy Worm!!

This girl goes about 80mph at all times! She loves playful, outgoing friends. She would do best in a home with one or two playful outgoing big dogs. Gummy is starting to learn that a leash isn't so bad. Because of the trauma and history with this group and leashes, they will only be adopted out to people with fences/yards. She will need continued leash training.

Gummy appears to be crate and potty trained but will need continued training on this as she's only 9-10 months old. She is about 40-45lbs. She has the prettiest buff red hair and cutest look on her face when you call her name.

She is spayed, current on vaccines and preventions, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

THE FOURTH CHOW WAS ADOPTED TODAY!!

Whopper went to his new home with his big sister who is a Bully named Gordita 😍😍
When Whopper went to meet her, he immediately gave her kisses!

We are so happy for this boy!

The third of the 10 chows got adopted today! (Starburst was adopted earlier in the day!) Payday’s new family picked her up just a little bit ago. She will have a dog sibling she already adores and even a human sibling! They drove from Texas to pick her up ❤️

Payday’s family has been excited for weeks to come get her. This seems like the perfect fit.

Thank you so much everyone who helped this sweet girl along the way.

This sweet girl (formerly known as A449658 but we currently haven’t named her) found herself being in danger at a local shelter last week. Luckily, we are fans of Chows and Chow mixes so we agreed to take her.

A volunteer went and grabbed her today. Our volunteer was so happy with how sweet and well behaved this girl was! She loves children, people, and other dogs. She appears to be potty and crate trained. Honestly, we couldn’t ask for a more perfect girl.
