Although we don’t typically see birds at our facility, we recently had a very special little visitor brought in by one of our staff members — a baby bird in need of help. 🐣💛

Thankfully, one of our wonderful doctors, who has extensive experience with birds and exotic animals, was able to carefully examine and feed the baby bird to make sure it was stable and comfortable.

We’re happy to share that the little one was safely transferred to a licensed bird rehabilitation center, where it will continue to be cared for, nurtured, and given the best chance to thrive. 🕊️✨

A big thank you to our caring team and the wildlife rehabilitators who work so hard to help these tiny patients!

Meet Eliza 💕

This sweet girl came to see us because she wasn’t eating and wasn’t feeling like herself. After performing diagnostics, we were able to start treatments to help get her back on the road to recovery. 🩺✨

While she may not have been feeling her best, Eliza still managed to win our “Best Hair Award” for that absolutely fabulous coat! 👑🐱

We’re so happy to help take care of this beautiful girl and can’t wait to see her feeling better soon. Send Eliza some love in the comments! ❤️

After his exam, Leo was sent home with the proper medication to help treat his eye and keep him feeling his best. We hope you feel better soon, sweet boy! 🐾

Never a dull moment at UrgentVet.🐢

Franklin the Turtle was found and brought to our Belmont location to be evaluated by our team, reminding us that caring for animals can come in all shapes, sizes, and shells. After receiving an exam and supportive care, Franklin headed to Carolina Wildlife Rehabilitation Center the next morning for continued care.

We’re grateful to everyone who stepped in to help get him to safety, and proud of our team for being ready to care for whatever comes through our doors.
