Last but not least, Mr. Fiyero my male greater tenrec got his official herd photos done as well. He’s my buddy, sweetest tenrec truly. Even when he got attacked by a female while in another breeders care & his wounds were left to fester till he got to me, he was so sweet when poked & prodded to be assessed at the vet & I had to care for his wounds at home. Never bit or anything, has always been a love bug to me & everyone 🥰. Sadly his quills have never grown back in where he lost many layers of skin from the attack, so he has 2 permanent patches of missing quills, but the skin is so healthy & it doesn’t effect him one bit. He’s a happy, healthy, big boy who loves his cuddles. Can’t wait to have some Fiyero babies, I hope they get his temperament.

Now that Curious is officially part of my breeding herd this year, she had to get her herd photos done too. My little baby is all grown up & ready to have her own babies this year 🥹. Time flies, feels like just yesterday she was coming out of her mom’s nest to meet the weird hooman who came to her cage when she was 2 weeks old. From the first time meeting Curious at 2 weeks old, I knew she was gonna be a special animal to me. I think she is gonna be an amazing mother, she reminds me so much of her great aunt Flower who was my best mom & is who Curious has been living with for almost 3 years now. I hope Curious & Hemlock make some babies & I will get to continue on Curious’s lines. Her babies will be the 3rd generation I’ve produced from her lines. Fingers crossed for a successful pairing 🤞🏼. And yes I definitely took way more photos of her than the others because I am that obsessed with her lol 😅.

Who else is ready for more sunny days & warmth? ☀️😎 I know me & my animals are! After today we go back to a few days of 50’s-60’s & rain, but next week it’ll get nice again & hopefully stay that way till fall. Can’t wait to have the animals outside a lot soon, they enjoy grass time so much 🌱.

Not my usual type of post, but my partner is looking for homes for 3 of his snakes so I am posting here in hopes of reaching a broader audience. He’s located in York, PA & these snakes cannot be shipped. Willing to transport for a fee up to 300 miles. Thora & Bowser can be handled pretty easily but can be guarded in their enclosures, Andromeda is feisty in & out of her enclosure. Thora needs at minimum a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft enclosure but 8ft would be ideal. Thora & Bowser are a breeding pair that can be bred now, but they don’t have to go together & can just be pets. If anyone guessed that it was Hemlock who was coming back to us, you’d have been right! Oh how I’ve missed this boy! Thank you Tia Delilah for keeping this boy for 2 long years while I got things situated here with me here. I’m glad he helped make you some lovely babies while with you too. Hopefully before he left he was able to make more 🤞🏼. Hemlock & Curious have now been paired here & are getting along great, I’ve already confirmed successful breeding between them so hopefully I’ll get babies from sweet Curious this year! Stay tuned for updates on Curious. Her mother Indigo is also in breeding, she failed to produce a litter last year but I am hoping she’ll give me one this year 🙏🏻. I am hoping for a year filled with tenrec babies 🩷.

Curious is gonna get ya lol 😂. This audio cracks me up, especially since I caught Curious yawning & timed it so perfectly with the audio. Miss Curious is my sweetest tennie & will be paired for breeding for the first time next week 🤗. Stay tuned to see who her mate is, he’s coming back to me after 2 years away at another breeders as their stud while Curious aged up.

I remodeled the tenrecs bioactive enclosures today, they were in need of a refresh. I’ll post videos of the other 2 enclosures this weekend.
