Last but not least is Pisaflores’ Don Toquí, our flag-bearer 🇵🇷

He carried the Puerto Rican flag at the Classic Celebration Show last October, so we decided he should do the same at the All Gaited Breed and Peruvian Horse Sunshine. He is a proud horse, and when he carries the flag of his homeland, he seems to stand even prouder.

Shhh 🤫 … I am going to tell you a secret: his rider, Pedro Burgos, gets just as proud as he does when he carries the Puerto Rican flag 🇵🇷

Pisaflores’ Don Toquí is one of the stallions standing at Hacienda Pisaflores. At 19 years old, he is a vivid example that age is only a number. He is a horse of beauty, substance, natural Fino gait, and a dream bloodline that seems taken straight from the 1990s. Don Toquí is available to selected mares during the 2026 breeding season.

Today, the spotlight is on Pisaflores’ Toñita.

I am truly in love with this mare: her beauty, her sweet disposition, her brío, and her outstanding Fino gait. She is the whole package, and every day she looks more and more like her great-grandmother, from whom she received her name: the original Toñita.

Bred on the mainland by Pedro Burgos, she is by Fuego Rápido de Pride and out of Pascua de Villa Burgos.

We had the great blessing of having Miguel Bola Figueroa Conde ride her at the show. Bola is one of the greatest trainers the Paso Fino breed has ever known.

Pisaflores’ Pegasus is the horse we are asked about more than any other. He is by Sueño de Paz out of La Bruja. His palomino color, great brío, and outstanding Fino gait make him truly one of a kind. People say an image is worth a thousand words… here are five images. Enjoy!

This handsome boy is Magnîficat de Krysia. He is by Doble Réplica out of Bonita de Krysia, and is almost 7 years old. Magnîficat is not only beautiful but also has a great disposition and a wonderfully smooth gait.

Many thanks to the young trainer—sorry I forgot his name—who helped us show Magnîfcat.

Pedro calls him “The Golden Boy,” but his name is Pisaflores’ Telégrafo. He is by Astro III out of Belinda de Réplica, is a little over three years old, and this was his first time out of the farm.

Telégrafo’s striking guajano color, sweet personality, extremely fino gait, and royal bloodline make him one of our future stallions.

For those curious, “guajano” is a colloquial term used in Puerto Rico to describe a chestnut horse with a flaxen mane and tail. This color is a trademark of our line, but Telégrafo has taken it to another level.

Today, it’s Pisaflores Canela’s turn.

She is a three-year-old mare by Astro III out of Rosalinda, who is by Rayo de Luz out of Orgullo de Réplica. Canela has a nice build, great brío, and doesn’t miss a beat. Pedro is teaching her the paso largo, and we hope to develop her for a career in the Pleasure classes. But, since she can collect, she could go either way.

We are planning to breed her to Pedro’s stallion, Romeo de Pride: Amante/San Mateo/Alicante x Yesenia/Toro Negro Jr./Anijoe/Don Toquí. This cross will combine newer and older bloodlines, as well as island and mainland influences.
