Throwback to Baby Cookie and our Baby Trump! Boy, they sure were good looking pups with their big heads and big paws. Looking forward to next weekend to confirm if we will be having Dewey/Cookie puppies. Dewey is a half brother to Trump so this should be a wonderful litter. It’s 3/4 of what I had planned. 🤣

This is a long post but it’s the short of where we are in our breeding program. I stated before that breeding is challenging when not having your own stud, losing Trump put some bumps in our breeding program.

Long term goal, we find a quality stud that fits into our breeding program, hoping soon and keep two male dogs as future prospect studs from our Trumps Poppy.

Short term goal, we use outside quality studs until one of the long-term goals comes to fruition.

We had to make a last-minute change with Poppy due to availability, we look forward to having Ryker pups in the future, but it didn’t work out due to Poppy’s timing.

We did breed Poppy with Tetris. Tetris comes from Hidden Springs English Goldens. His pedigree and conformation compliment Poppy well and he has passed all his clearances, he is an import and Jr. Champion, Best of Breed.

If you have a deposit on this litter and would like to change or refund your deposit due to these changes, please let me know.

We will confirm this breeding (fingers crossed) on 4/28/25

We have been very busy timing for outside breedings, it’s a lot of work and I am hoping we find a male for our program before next season.

We have been waiting for Lady to come into heat and Poppy has beat her to the punch. We have decided to keep our litters closer together we will be breeding Poppy with Ryker this coming week and will breed Lady in the fall.

Poppy is our Trump girl and since we will be using an outside stud we will be keeping one possibly two males from this litter for future studs. We do have two females reserved but still have some availability don’t miss out on this cross. 😍

Last month I received an update on Cannoli, Sophia/Tony litter.

Cannolis long term goal is agility but her mom has started her off with the AKC STAR puppy classes. She just finished and received her certification.

Her mom said “Your training gave her an amazing start so thank you for doing that with them. She knew a lot before she even came home”.

UPDATE:

We will be breeding our new “Poppy” with a previous outside stud “Ryker”. We used Ryker with Cookie last litter and loved the puppies.

We have a wonderful opportunity to bring back our past genetics, one of my breeder friends in Virginia has a stud “Dewey” from one of our past “Nixon and Sophia” litters and he just passed his OFA clearances and is ready to breed. Cookie is unrelated to both Nixon and Sophia so we are excited for this pairing.

We are anxiously waiting for Cookie and Lady to come into heat, we are now a little later than expected but it will happen on their time. We have been holding off on taking deposits until heat so we know for sure which studs we are pairing them with. When using outside studs sometimes things change based on timing and availability. We will for sure breed them and as soon as we have breedings confirmed I will start taking deposits.

Mr Marvel and his new mom are headed to North Carolina tonight to his forever home. I’m so grateful he will have such a wonderful life, with a golden brother, the lake and room to run. I know in my heart when something is right and I feel he was destined for this family. Still a little sad to see him go, but really happy for him.

We are expecting heat cycles in February and plan to breed Lady and Cookie with outsides studs. We are pairing Cookie with Ryker again (we loved the last litter and wanted to repeat it) and will breed Lady with as stud named Oskar. Both Ryker and Oskar have full health clearances, genetically clear and proven studs. I will post pictures of the pairings once the girls come in heat.

Unfortunately, our Marvel did not pass his health testing and therefore we will not use him in our breeding program. I will be looking for Marvel a pet home, he will do better in a home where activity is limited and while his hips and elbows are not breeding standards with moderate exercise and supplements he will live a great life. He's a beautiful dog, will be 2 in May up to date on all his vaccines/worming's/vet checks. He still needs some training so interested homes would need to have the time to put some work in. Interested families that are up for the task, please message me. We are in no hurry to home him, we will wait to find the right fit.

Happy New Year!! We are looking forward to 2025. We have three new girls we are breeding this year! Miss Lady here is a keeper from Sophia and Bobo and we think she looks like a young Tasha even though they are unrelated. Lol. We intend to breed her this coming spring pending her OFA test results.

Mabel (Miss Purple). She had such a connection with this family on their visit to look at Miss Lime. She stole their heart and we are happy to say she will have a big farm to run on. It’s fitting for her, she’s gonna love it!!

Cannoli (Miss Hot Pink) made the trip to Pennsylvania with her new family today. She settled in fine and she loves her fluffy bed, she says finally home at last!! 😂
