The fire marshal stopped in today to put up another notice. He said that he only really deals with this in private property not commercial leased property. I still have yet to hear from the landlord about her insurance information so I have filed a claim with my business insurance. They were shocked to say the least, but happy to help while they track down her info, and try to get the contractors information as well. Right now we’re at about $25,000 in lost revenue, wages and property damages. I am working alongside our county officials, my insurance and a lawyer. I have documentation for everything that has occurred to include, texts, receipts, witness statements, and video footage. The one thing I do well is diligently documenting everything when I am being wronged. The worst thing anyone can do is underestimate me just because I’m young and a first time business owner. I am too nice most of the time but I am not stupid.
