Hello, my name is Angela and I am the owner and operator of Dogwood Dog Spa in Oak Ridge!
My salon is run differently than most, let me tell you how!

I run a true one-on-one salon, where your dog receives my undivided attention and care, never being crated (unless desired by you or for stress reduction) and even waiting for pickup in my company! It's just myself, and your fur-baby. I use a calm voice, gentle movements, and positive reinforcement to train your pet to better accept the grooming process. I play soothing music or calm audio books during the duration of your pet's groom. I do these things because the well-being of animals matters greatly to me.

At drop off, you can expect a pet grooming assessment paired with a discussion where we customize the best hair cut for your dog based on your desires and needs! You are welcome to stay and view the grooming process through the viewing window, and you may help yourself to provided books, magazines, and art supplies for your enjoyment! You may also opt for a 30 minute heads up before your pet's groom is completed, it is not required that you stay.

After the initial assessment and groom discussion, I will complete pre-bath prep work on your pet, trim and file nails, bathe your pet thoroughly with blueberry facial wash, professional grade Bio Groom Shampoo and Conditioner, clean their ears, blow out their coat for a wonderful fluffy feel, and finally, complete their haircut, finishing with a spritz of the wonderful Hempz doggie fragrance and a custom made bandana by yours truly!

How much does all this extra care cost, you ask?

Despite all of the services listed above, my services remain affordable. I even have separate pricing for traditional pet grooms vs more luxurious cuts so you can be sure to find the right option for you and your pet!

Sometimes we get a little tangly and need a fresh start! Noodle gets itchy when shaved short with a #10 blade however, so we pivoted and with a little extra love for his coat, I was able to groom him with a #4 blade length on his body. He still has a little fluff and I think he looks really cute! 😍

Just so everyone is aware, I got a much needed electric lift professional grooming table and am now open to large breed dogs!

It's definitely saving my back, and I'm so grateful that it opens up my ability to work with larger dogs! 😀🐕

Yay for bandana making day! 🐶🐩

I went on a fun run to Hobby Lobby to pick out fabric for doggie bandanas! "Isn't it more cost effective to order them in bulk off of amazon?" You ask.

Yes... But then I don't get to have fun picking the fabric and making them myself!
