SOME BONDS ARE TOO SPECIAL TO BREAK… PLEASE MEET MAYCI & COFFEE CAKE!
Imagine being just a baby yourself, becoming a mama, and then having your precious baby taken away from you. 💔
That is the heartbreaking beginning of Mayci and her little one, Coffee Cake.
At just about 9 months old, Mayci was abandoned at a retail store, where it was evident she was a nursing mama. The same person who abandoned Mayci left her tiny kitten, Coffee Cake, in a completely different location in another city. Two innocent lives, separated and left to fend for themselves.
When Mayci arrived at her foster home, she cried throughout the night, searching for the baby who had been taken from her. Her mama heart knew someone was missing.
But we couldn't give up on their story. Through the efforts of our rescue, we were able to reunite this young mama with her precious baby. And when they found each other again? They were immediately happy.
Mayci was able to continue nursing Coffee Cake, giving her the nourishment, comfort, and love she needed to grow into a healthy, strong, thriving little kitten.
And now, look at them! Two beautiful souls who have already endured more heartbreak than any cat should ever have to experience. Yet they remain sweet, loving, friendly, and full of trust.
MEET COFFEE CAKE
Born approximately August 7, 2026, this precious little girl has grown into a healthy, thriving kitten with her mama by her side.
MEET MAYCI
Still a baby herself, this beautiful young mama has shown us what unconditional love truly looks like. She deserves a chance to be someone's baby now, too.

We know that finding homes for two cats together can sometimes take a little longer. But after everything these two have been through, we cannot imagine asking them to lose each other all over again.
Coffee Cake needs her mama, and Mayci deserves to keep the little soul she cried for, searched for, and lovingly raised.
Their story began with abandonment and separation. We dream of an ending that brings them both home together.
Imagine Coffee Cake growing up knowing her mama will always be there. Imagine Mayci finally getting to relax, play, cuddle, and simply be a young cat, knowing her baby is safe beside her.
