🌈🐾 Tomorrow is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day — a day to honor and celebrate the cats who filled our lives with unconditional love, but who now live forever in our hearts.

When was the last time you brought your cat to the vet?

In 2022, less than 40% of cats visited with the vet. That compares to the 82% of the dog population who visited the vet at least once throughout the year. A healthy cat is a happy cat, and it's important to do our part as owners to keep our pets as healthy as possible! August 22nd is "National Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day," and the PURR-fect opportunity to schedule any overdue appointments for your cat.

Cats age and change much more rapidly than humans, and are very skillful at hiding health conditions. Veterinarians are trained to detect health complications before they become more obvious, and more difficult to treat. Regular veterinarian visits, physical examinations, and creating an open line of communication between you and your cat's vet can help save your cats life; Preventative care is much more effective than reactive care, as conditions are often discovered once they are far more difficult and costly to treat.

Today, was our August Free Vaccine Clinic at Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit! We had appointments for 63 cats and 184 dogs all in this 3 hour clinic (final count pending!).

We are sweaty, exhausted, and absolutely overjoyed to be able to work together to help so many pets and families.

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! And we are so greatful to partner with these amazing organizations!

Tomorrow is the start of Customer Appreciation Day at all Premier Pet Supply locations where you get great discounts off all of your purchases!

I’m not sure if many of you know how much Premier Pet Supply does to help fund spay and neutering for homeless cats for the Feline Fund community. Over the past 3 years they have raised over 60k which has funded veterinary care for over 1300 homeless cats and 7 free vaccine clinics.
