Smoke Rise Kennel

Smoke Rise Kennel Dog boarding facility. Pet boarding (limited to dogs) is offered at the Smoke Rise facility. The rate for boarding is $25/dog/day.

Dogs picked up during the morning office hours will incur a half-day charge of $12 rather than the full day rate of $25. Please contact Smoke Rise Kennel at 419-652-3798 for more information or to make reservations. All boarders must be current on Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccinations. Cash and personal checks are accepted for payment. We do not accept CREDIT or DEBIT cards. Th

e concrete and cinder block building is heated with 4x4 foot interior bedding areas that are attached via a sliding door to individual outdoor chain link runs. In the summer, numerous windows and doors provide good ventilation and large "barn" fans keep air moving. The kennel yard is fully fenced for your dog's protection and roof extensions cover the outside runs to provide protection from sun, rain, and snow.

Special New Years Hours:
We will have normal business hours on Wednesday, December 31st (New Years Eve). Those hours are 8-10am and 5-7pm. We will be CLOSED all day on New Years Day, Thursday, January 1st. Please call if you have any questions.

We will be CLOSED all day Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th.
We will be open on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th from 8-10am and from 5-7pm.

Special Thanksgiving schedule: 🦃🍗🐶

We will be closed all day on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27. Instead, we will be open Wednesday, November 26 in the morning between 8-10 and in the afternoon between 5-7 (basically, normal Wednesday and Thursday hours swap😁). Give us a call if you have any questions.

We are open our normal hours over Labor Day weekend. That means 8-10am and 5-7pm Friday, Saturday and Monday. We are open only 5-7pm on Sunday.

Smoke Rise Kennel will NOT be having special hours on July 4th. 🇺🇸🎉🎊 We will be open 8-10 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening.
Remember that more dogs run away/get lost over July 4th weekend than any other time of year due to fear of fireworks. Make sure gates and doors are securely closed and dogs are kept leashed or otherwise controlled.

Happy New Year everyone! 🎉🎊 Smoke Rise Kennel wishes you and your pets a great 2025!

Please be aware that there is a rate change effective in 2025. Daily boarding remains $25 per day per dog. The change is there will be a half-day ($12) charge for dogs picked up during morning hours, while pick up during evening hours constitutes a full day boarding and is $25.

For example, if you drop your dog off on a Friday (either between 8-10am or between 5-7pm) and pick up on Monday morning between 8-10am, the charge would be $87. If you have the same drop off but pick up between 5-7pm Monday, the charge would be $100. If you have any questions, feel free to call or to discuss with Jesse when you are dropping off your dog.
