Sending a big congratulations to Marie on the purchase of her new horse Mascot!! Marie has been out of the saddle for a little while, so we’re all thrilled that she has a new partner to take lessons on and hit the trails with! We are excited for many new adventures with this new boy! 🧡

Today was our 3rd annual Halloween fun show and this year has proved the best yet! We had many awesome costumes, but the winning vote went to Marie and Rocket, aka a moth to a flame! Second place was Carol and Riviera living “On could 9” complete with lights in the clouds! Third place was Hannah and Montana in their truest form “Hannah Montana”.

Awesome job to everyone who dressed up and enjoyed having a little fun today. Thank you to Hannah Neu and Ava who spent time organizing and decorating today and a special thank you to Aurora from In Gait Equine for sponsoring our costume winner! It was a blast of an afternoon 💛🥸

GMHA Fall was the last show of the season for the Longfellow crew and everyone had a blast during the abnormally warm October weekend!

🍂Carly Neilson and her mare Didolein made a comeback this fall and competed in the Grand Prix class on Saturday and put in a lovely ride with piaffe passage scores of 7 throughout the ride! The pair earned a nice 62.50% and were thrilled to get back into the competition arena after having almost a year and a half off from showing!

🍂Wendy Payne and her mare Olivia DDD competed in the Second Level Test Three class Saturday and earned a score of 62.976% with many 7's and 7.5's throughout the trot and canter. Wendy earned 7's on Rider position and Seat as well as Olivia on Gaits! Sunday Wendy and Olivia won the 2-3 class with a 66.190% and took home Second Level High Point of the day and Second Level Reserve High Point of the weekend! Well done you two!

🍂Alyssa Harkness-Holdeman brought her boy Senegal as well as her new gelding Sirocco! Alyssa took the opportunity to bring Rocco to get accustomed to the busy show environment during this building year with Senegal, as they work on the I1 test. Both horses were just wonderful ... trailered, stabled, settled with ease. Sirocco did some lunging each day, walked around the rings, judges booths, warmups, etc. He's ready to be a show horse next year!

🍂Barn mate Cyndy West brought her stud muffin Tongo for more experience in the I1 arena! They duo had lovely rides both Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday they had several 7's on their changes which are a highlight for this little powerhouse. Well done Cyndy, we are excited to see you two shine next season as well!

Three of the Longfellow ladies made their way to the 2025 GAIG/USDF Region 8 Championships at HITS the third week of September with much success!

🌟Abby White and Friendship kicked off the show with a Third Level Test Three on Thursday in preparation for their championship ride. The pair did very well and finished 5th in the class with a 62.875%. Friday they went down centerline for their Third Level Championship AA class and put in another solid test for a final score of 62.313%! This was Freddie's first time back at a large venue since 2023 and he met and exceeded all expectations. After a two year hiatus from showing, Freddie is looking better than ever! Congratulations Abby and Fred!

🌟Karen Wilson and Idola B continued their success in the show ring on Thursday with a PSG class and having the goal of getting Idola more confident and happy in this large electric atmosphere. The pair did just that, gaining mileage and finishing 4th in their class. Well done you two!

🌟Vickie Kahn-Sinclair and De La Vie Bang put in four tests over the long weekend starting with a Second Level Test Three Thursday with the pair finishing in 1st place with a 74.167%. On Friday Vickie and Vie took the reins in the First Level Championships AA class and won the huge championship class of 66 riders with a 74.236%! Saturday Vickie and Vie warmed up with a First Level Test One scoring a 75.926% in preparation of their Second Level Championship AA class where the duo finished 3rd with a 68.926%. Massive congratulations to them both on such a successful summer and for great scores and placings in all classes; what a strong way to finish out the season!
