Please join me in welcoming Ryan and Ashleigh to the Into the Woods Canine team!!

Ryan is a powerhouse of experience and knowledge with 15+ years of group hiking and grooming, he was the owner/operator of his own successful hiking business for 10 of those years and is ready to slow things down while still doing what he loves and being in nature.

We are so excited to have him on the team and be able to offer Full Service grooming appointments beginning the week of July 21!

Ashleigh is a recent graduate of of Highland K9 Training Academy and has a background in grooming, boarding and daycare!

She is most passionate about behavioral modification and service dog training and is excited to bring her fresh outlook and energy to the team!

While we are soaking up as much summer as possible, we are ALWAYS thinking ahead to ensure a healthy work/life balance for our staff, families and personal pets!

Our boarding books for the Fall and Holiday season are OPEN! We are fortunate to be able to offer small group boarding in our home to maximize your pets comfort while you travel.

In addition to their basic care, each dog gets 3 potty walks (20-25 minutes) and either a hike or solo/group play session depending on their preferences daily. You can also add on extras like training sessions, grooming and Day-School to ensure their day is packed with learning!

All new dogs must book a trial overnight prior to booking longer stays. All dogs must be crate trained and potty trained unless here for a Board and Train program.

**Preference is given to dogs that are active in our Day School or training programs**

We will be closed next Friday for the 4th, all services will resume Monday, July 7th.

Update on Sophie who did a Board and Train with us in early May! The last photo brings tears to my eyes and is an awesome reminder of why I do what I do.

Sophie came to us after she got into a pretty bad scrap with a housemate over food.. there was blood and stitches involved and the incident caused the humans in the house to understandably lose trust in her around the other family dogs and she was separated from the rest of the house for everyone's safety for quite some time.

In Sophie's B&T with us, we focused on giving her confidence in herself, enriching her day to day life with play, built neutrality around other dogs & properly muzzle conditioned her so she could be reintegrated into the house safely. The other half of the equation was giving her owners the confidence, knowledge and tools that allowed them to trust her again.

I am so happy to see her sharing space and peaceful with a housemate. I am so proud of her owners for trusting the process (and me) and continuing to do the work.

Progress over perfection, everyday!
