Odie has a new update for you on his journey to becoming a Service Dog! Enjoy! 😊

Hey there, Odie here! I have been putting in some extra tail-waggin’ hours lately, building up my working stamina. That’s right, we’ve stretched our days longer than a dachshund’s dreams, and I’m rising to the challenge like a true top dog. Whether I’m doing public access sessions or just practicing polite patience during the daily hustle, this pup’s showing I can keep my paws on the ground and my head in the game.

Now, we all know the world isn’t just sunshine and belly rubs — there are distractions out there. That’s why we’ve been mixing it up by training around more dogs and more trainers to fine-tune my impulse control. Imagine trying to stay focused while a pack of your best fur-iends are playing fetch nearby…talk about temptation! But I’m learning to keep my cool, mind my manners, and remember that work comes before wagging (okay, maybe just a little wag).

And for the grand finale: My trainer TJ and I have been hitting the town — restaurant style! I’ve been joining him for meals out, sharpening those settle skills while the smells of bacon, burgers, and biscuits waft by. It’s a true test of patience and professionalism, and I’ve been acing it like a champ. So paws up and a big “thank you” for sticking with us on this journey. With your support, I’m getting one paw closer to becoming someone’s life-changing partner. Until next time, keep those tails waggin’ and those kibble jars full!

I’m so excited to share with you the newest training pupdate from our Service Dog in training, Odie! Sounds like he’s putting in that work. 😊 🥰

Woof woof! Hey there, I’m Odie, your furry friend, and I’ve got some exciting updates to share about my training journey! First off, I’ve been doing paw-some with my handler transferability. That means I’m learning to work with different humans, and let me tell you, I’m wagging my tail in excitement! Whether it’s one of my human pals or a new face, I’m quickly adjusting to their style and showing off my best tricks. It’s all about being a good boy and listening no matter who’s holding the leash. I’m really starting to shine with this, and I’m ready to keep impressing everyone!

But it’s not all about meeting new humans – I’ve also been getting back to basics with my primary trainer. We’ve been working hard on fine-tuning my skills and making sure I’m the top dog when it comes to obedience. I’m all ears and paws, soaking up everything I can to make sure I’m at the top of my game. With my trainer by my side, I’m feeling more confident and ready to tackle even bigger challenges. Together, we’re a “paw-some” team, and I can already see how much stronger I’m becoming.

And now, with the Holidays coming up, I’m getting ready to work in higher distraction environments! That means I’ll be practicing my skills in places with more things going on, like busy parks or crowded events. It’s going to be a lot of work, but I’m ready to stay focused and show off my smarts. Whether it's a frisbee flying by or a dog barking from across the street, I’m going to stay cool as a cucumber. I’m absolutely “crushing it,” and I can’t wait to keep making progress as we head into spring break season!
