I might be biased… but Lily is kinda cute. 🥹💛

Truth be told, I’ve never really been into snakes — that’s always been more Cody’s thing. But we originally picked up Lily, this gorgeous carpet python, for a friend. While they were here in the store, he and his wife were chatting, and she looked at him and said no.

So we held onto Lily just for a minute… and the second I held her, it honestly felt like it was meant to be. 🌿

Funny enough, while Lily was here, her breeder even mentioned how much this snake disliked her — but for some reason, Lily and I just connected. Is it weird? Maybe. But this little girl completely won my heart. 💛

Now Lily is staying with us forever as one of our new shop ambassadors here at Bama Reptiles & Ranch! 🐍 She’s not a species we recommend for everyone — carpet pythons can get big, they’re sensitive, and they need experienced, confident handling. Because of that, Lily won’t be able to be held by the public, but you might just catch her wrapped on my arm since she’s quickly become the owner’s favorite.

What really makes Lily special is her unusually sweet personality — she’s calm, curious, and gentle. We can’t wait for you all to meet her and see why she stole our hearts! 💕

💛 We had such a special moment at Bama Reptiles & Ranch today! 💛

Cody’s grandpa, Dale, made the trip all the way from Durango, Colorado to visit us — and today was the very first time he got to meet all the kids and see the store we’ve been pouring our hearts into. 🥹

It was such a meaningful, emotional moment to have Dale here, seeing everything we’ve built and finally getting to hug his great-grandkids for the first time. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — family, love, and building something lasting together.

We are feeling incredibly grateful tonight. 💕 Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey with us! 🌿🐍🐴

🌙 Late night update from Bama Reptiles & Ranch 🌙

We want to sincerely apologize for the AC not being up to par over opening. 🥵 It’s not broken per say, but it’s definitely not where it should be — this has been an ongoing issue we’ve been working on with our management company, and we’ve been troubleshooting it for weeks.

When it came down to it, we had two choices: delay our opening… or open the doors a little warmer so you all could come like you’ve been begging to! We chose to open because we didn’t want to make you wait any longer. 💛

Thank you for your patience and understanding — we’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything just right! 💪🐍🐴

🎉 WOW — what an amazing opening weekend at Bama Reptiles & Ranch!! 🎉

We were absolutely slammed — a packed house, especially on Saturday, with wild sales and nonstop excitement. 🐍🐴 We are so, so grateful to every single one of you who came out to support us, shop with us, or just hang out and be part of this dream coming to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who left kind reviews — they help us grow more than you know, and we appreciate every word! 💛

And here’s something we want to say loud and clear:
👉 This is a family store.
We don’t care if my kids are running or your kids are running — this is a place to build our family village, our community of reptile lovers, horse lovers, and animal people. This is a space where families can come together, and if that ever costs us a customer or a sale, we’re okay with that.

This was opening weekend — it’s completely normal for kids, especially toddlers, to be excited, wide-eyed, and full of energy. That’s the magic of creating a space where families feel welcome, and we’re proud to stand by it. 💕
