🦎 Meet Ducky! 🦎

Today we're shining the spotlight on Ducky, a crested gecko who lives with Alicia, our new Practice Manager!

Ducky may be small, but she's full of personality. Crested geckos are known for their adorable "eyelash" crests, incredible climbing abilities, and curious nature. They're a favorite among reptile enthusiasts and make wonderful companion animals when provided with proper care and habitat.

At Northfield Veterinary Hospital, we know pets come in all shapes, sizes, and species—and they all deserve exceptional veterinary care!

At Northfield Veterinary Hospital, we're grateful for our entire team, including our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. 🎉 Please join us in welcoming Alicia Edwards, CVPM, to Northfield Veterinary Hospital as our new Practice Manager!

Alicia brings years of experience in veterinary medicine and recently earned her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential. She is passionate about supporting veterinary teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring exceptional patient care and client experiences.

Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her pets, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.

We're excited to have her as part of the Northfield team and look forward to the positive impact she'll have on our clinic, clients, and patients. Please help us give her a warm welcome! 🐾❤️

Sometimes the old saying really is true — put on a little makeup, fix your hair, and suddenly you feel like yourself again 💁‍♀️🐾

After surgery left this sweet girl with a slightly… creative haircut, her family made sure she was still feeling fabulous with the help of a very stylish wig. Safe to say she is absolutely rocking the look!

At Northfield, we always want our patients feeling their best — even if that occasionally means embracing a temporary “bad hair day” on the road to recovery. We think she wears both looks beautifully!

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice and the freedoms they helped protect.

Northfield Veterinary Hospital will be closed on Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday, May 26 at 8:00 AM.

Erikah is one of those people who brings positivity everywhere she goes. She is always smiling, always ready to lend a helping hand, and always looking for ways to make both pets and people feel a little more comfortable during their visit.

She has a special talent for working with “spicy” cats and nervous pets, approaching them with patience, gentleness, and understanding. Whether she’s helping during treatments, sneaking in extra cuddles, or giving a patient a little extra love before they head home, Erikah truly makes a difference in the experience our patients have at Northfield.

Her compassionate nature and upbeat attitude never go unnoticed by our team. She brings such a warm and supportive energy to the clinic every single day, and we are so grateful for the care she gives to every patient she meets.

Outside of work, Erikah loves spending time with her family, her dog Czaree, and her cat Chi Chi.

Tyler is often lovingly referred to as “the calm” in our clinic — and anyone who has met him understands why. His laid-back personality, steady presence, and sense of humor keep both our team and patients feeling at ease throughout the day.

Tyler is always one of the first to jump in and help, whether that means holding a nervous pet, assisting a teammate, or learning a new technical skill. Since joining Northfield, his knowledge and hands-on abilities have grown tremendously, and we are so proud of all he has accomplished.

You can also count on Tyler to keep everyone updated on the Guardians score, talk weather forecasts, or share fishing stories — especially if it’s nice enough for him to spend his day off out on the water!

In addition to caring for patients, Tyler serves as our safety coordinator and works hard to keep our team informed and protected with important safety practices and regulations.

Thank you, Tyler, for the positivity, dedication, and calm energy you bring to Northfield every single day. Our clinic would not be the same without you!
