We are adding veterinarians to our staff and are looking for a full time Equine Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that possesses a strong equine background and exceptional handling skills to learn and be involved with the medical side of equine care. The applicant must have a broad knowledge of equine husbandry and a basic knowledge of veterinary medications. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to: restraining anxious/difficult horses, jogging/lunging horses, performing basic laboratory tests, taking/assisting with radiographs, horse care, barn work and driving work vehicles. Rotating on call schedule split with other technicians. Weekly schedule is fairly consistent, though daily hours do vary. Possibility of 1-2 weekend days a month working caring for our horses/patients in our barns. Work hours can vary seasonally, with spring and summer being the busiest. Salary depends on qualifications. Many benefits offered for full time employees, health/dental/vision, uniform allowance, 401k and more.
