Stay-A-While Cat Shelter Stay-A-While is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sheltering, caring for, and adopting cats out into life-long homes.

Stay-A-While Cat Shelter is a cage-less, no kill shelter that provides loving, compassionate and comprehensive care for cats and kittens awaiting adoption. We are located in North Royalton, Ohio. Our cats enjoy roaming free in large rooms in a spacious, ranch home situated on an acre lot, which has an abundance of trees and wildlife. Stay-A-While is a no-kill shelter as we do not euthanize cats ex

cept for hopeless health reasons. We are a small, private shelter with approximately 60-80 cats/kittens and we are only able to accept new residents when vacancies become available. We provide a safe and loving environment for cats and kittens until they can adopt caring people of their own. Once a cat is accepted into the shelter, it is given a medical examination, tested for Feline Leukemia Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and given initial vaccinations. Cats over six months of age are spayed or neutered before adoption. The shelter is administered by an Advisory Board and is operated and maintained by a Director of Operations, Assistant Director, and several Operations Assistants, plus a staff of volunteers who carry out a myriad of functions. We are privately funded from the generosity of cat lovers through donations, adoption fees, and various fund-raising activities.

Hi friends! 🐈‍⬛

We had a sweet little girl adopted on Saturday, who has since, tested positive for a parasite called Giardia.

We need to shut down this weekend to get all the other cats in that room treated. We don’t want to risk spreading this around the shelter.

The cats were not happy when they heard this news! I am definitely the bad guy now 🥹

Hello friends - the summer cut out sales have not been going well. We have sold 11 and we are super appreciative for that! That will buy us 2-3 cases of canned food, depending on what brand it is. That is a huge help but I think we can do a little better. I will purchase 5 right now (no, I am not eligible for the gift card) making it 16 sold. I know money is tight so maybe you can not participate this time, that's purrfectly fine!

What I will do is make sure that you receive one entry, for the $40 Panera Gift Card, for every $5 cut out you purchase. This applies to the ones already sold as well. Usually, you are entered for the gift card drawing once, no matter how many you purchase, but this time it will be 1 entry for every cut out 😎
