Another fantastic training session with Felon!

I brought along two of my Shepherds today, Banshee and Mako. Felon LOVES both of them, so with it being so hot out, why not try something new and bring them both.

Felon is doing exceptionally well 4 weeks into socialization and desensitization training so she can pass her service dog test.

I brought out my 8 month old Shepherd puppy Mako as additional distraction. Mako had other plans today, and it was to be the best puppy ever!

When I bring my personal dogs out to training sessions I do expect them to behave yes, but I also want them to be somewhat of a big distraction and be a dog. The point of this is 1; to use as additional help, 2; be a dog with little structure for that added distraction.
Unfortunately for me, all 3 of my dogs know when we’re working, so they’re always on their best behavior! LOL

This is Dino.

Dino was rescued from a little bit of a rough situation of being kept in the kennel for hours on end. I’m talking only being let out once, maybe twice a day.

Dino is also deaf. That’s somewhat of a foreign thing to me. After a consult with his parents. We came up with a game plan, and Dino is already getting better with going after wheels and tires. It is still a process and have to go about it in a different way, but I’m super impressed by this smart guy.

This is Felon.
We’re in the process of building confidence so she can work out in public to help her mom for medical alert.

I like having Banshee with me during these lessons for numerous reasons, one being other dogs see that Banshee can do it, and it’s not that big of a deal.

We’re hoping we can get Felon her Certification so she can fly in a few weeks!
