Meet Leo

He gets along well with other gentle, docile cats. Those big ears of his are all the better to hear you with, and he will look at you adoringly when you speak to him…unless you’re saying “no,” in which case he will ignore you. 🚨 Late night emergency 🚨

HHR Lifer Si has had a rough day. He had several bouts of vomiting this morning; and because Si is diabetic and has chronic kidney disease, we always consult with his doctors right away.

Si was prescribed two anti-nausea meds and a bland diet. At dinner time, Si’s blood sugars was normal and he was resting comfortably. At bedtime tonight, Si was VERY quiet. Our founder took his temp and It was quite low and Si was very pale. We rushed to hospital right away.

Si was given fluids, B12, and put on heat therapy immediately. We have NO idea what caused this episode. We are trying all we can. PLEASE HELP.

🐈🆘 This! Please HELP our friends. Domestic & Wild. If you can't take them inside then provide some shelter, food & water. THANK YOU!

⚠️PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️

This upcoming week is not only going to include snow but also with windchills down to possibly -15.

For most of us ( if not all of our followers ) - we understand the importance of keeping animals indoors during extreme weather conditions . However there are those within our state that do not realize how quickly animals can get frostbite or hypothermia from the cold .

We need all of us to keep our eyes open for our furry friends who are left outdoors . And if you hear dogs barking incessantly or cats crying please do not ignore it - PLEASE TAKE ACTION ⚠️

If you see animals outside for longer then 15 minutes with no owner or keeper present - Contact your local Animal Control Department or your local Police Department. If your community does not have either contact State Police. If you have the ability and it’s safe to do so , please help the animal if you are not getting any responses from authorities. With extreme weather conditions that we are expecting , time is of the essence. Please be their voice 🐶❤️🐈❤️🐰❤️🐾
