You may remember us talking about nine-month-old Godiva, who was dumped and rescued in North Haven. She came to The Animal Haven with a terrible skin condition that looked like mange. Godiva's skin condition was not only very unattractive, but it caused her unbearable itchiness and discomfort.
Thanks to your support, we were able to bring Godiva to a veterinary dermatologist who diagnosed and treated her severe allergies and bacterial and yeast skin infections and found the one antibiotic that was able to beat her multi-resistant staphylococcus. Godiva is now recovered, although she will need to stay on yeast preventative and anti-allergy drugs for life to prevent a reoccurrence.
Godiva is not only the sweetest and most laid-back dog -- in love with cats, dogs, children, and adults -- she is now as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. And just recently, after more than a year at the shelter, Godiva was adopted into a wonderful, loving home!
