The Great Give® 2025 is coming! It is a 36-hour online giving event organized by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to support nonprofits serving Greater New Haven. It begins on Wednesday, May 7th, at 8 a.m. and runs through Thursday, May 8th, at 8 p.m. Advanced giving begins at 8:00 a.m. on May 2nd. Bruce, a stray cat, was brought to The Animal Haven by a good Samaritan in North Haven who recently had been feeding Bruce outside. When Bruce was brought to the shelter, it was clear he had been through something traumatic - his jaw was broken and hanging open, likely as a result of being hit by a car. Thanks to you, Bruce received the veterinary care he desperately needed. He had surgery to fix his broken jaw and spent three days recovering at the animal hospital. The veterinarian is hopeful he will regain full use of his jaw as he continues to heal. Working together, many donations - of all amounts - from caring individuals like you make this life-saving help possible.
