🌿🐾 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — HELP US RECLAIM OUR DOG WALKING TRAILS! 🐾🌿
Did you know our shelter sits on 7 acres of property?
Those acres include wooded trails that give our shelter dogs a chance to get out of their kennels, explore, sniff, decompress, and enjoy a real walk in nature.
Our trails are becoming overgrown with invasive plants, brush, and small trees, and we need some extra hands to help us clear them out!
No plant or landscaping experience necessary!
One of our amazing volunteers is extremely knowledgeable in this field and will be there to guide everyone and show us exactly what should be cut and what should stay.
We’re looking for volunteers who don’t mind getting a little dirty and helping us:
● Cut back invasive plants and vines
● Remove unwanted brush and small trees
● Clear and widen our existing walking paths
● Help make our trails safer and more enjoyable for our shelter dogs
Whether you can help for an hour or spend the day with us, every extra set of hands makes a difference.
These trails are more than just paths through the woods. For our dogs, they’re a chance to get away from the noise of the shelter, stretch their legs, use their noses, and just get to be dogs for a while.
If you’d like to join our Trail Cleanup Crew, comment below or send us a message!
And if you know someone who loves gardening, landscaping, working outdoors, or just hacking away at overgrown stuff (we know you’re out there 😂), tag them or share this post!
Help us take back the trails — our dogs will thank you!
