A calm dog is a happy dog 🐾 Sometimes owners see excited and hyper dogs and associate this with happiness. ‼️This is not always the case! Anxiety and unregulated excitement can also look like wagging tails, excited whimpers, and excess energy. Teaching your dog to relax and regulate their emotions is one of the most important skills to teach. It helps manage your dogs stress and prevents overstimulation. Ultimately, a calm dog makes better choices, is more neutral with others, and can adapt to different environments.

Our board and trains Nova and Joy are learning the art of doing ✨nothing ✨except relaxing and being calm. We start with low level distractions, short rest periods, and then challenge them with other dogs, people, new sounds, and new environments.
