Chrystal has been owner of Groomingdale’s LLC since 2009 but began her career with the company in 1998. Groomingdale’s is Ghent’s oldest pet salon and Chrystal strives to retain the integrity and professionalism that has kept the salon so prominent in the Ghent community. She works diligently to keep with current styles and trends.
Chrystal is a member of the Ghent Business Association, National Dog Groomers Association of America and the Virginia Professional Pet Groomers Association. She holds many professional certifications, including but not limited to, Pet Salon Management, Pet First Aid & CPR, Handling & Rehabilitation of “Difficult” Dogs, Geriatric (senior) Pet Handling, Puppy Handling, AKC S.A.F.E, Pet Aesthetician, Cat Grooming, Hand Stripping, Salon Sanitation & Covid-19 Salon Sanitation, Breed Specific (show grooming) for each breed group, Doodle Grooming, Asian Fusion Grooming and “Pet Style” Grooming. Chrystal feels pet grooming is “Not a job, hobby or even a career, it is a passion. No one endures the pain and toll on ones body unless they truly love what they do.” She ensures every stylist in Groomingdale’s salon is in love with the industry and they must be passionate as well as compassionate.

Hi, I'm Em! I've been a part of Groomingdale's for over 4 years now. I have six years in the pet industry and multiple certifications in styling, safety and sanitation. At home, I have two dogs, four cats, and endless love for every furry face I meet. I especially love working with senior pets to help them look and feel their best! When I am not pampering pups, my nose is usually in a book or reaching for the stars in aerial arts.

“I’m Gilda, a pet groomer and veterinary technician with over 20 years of experience. Since 2005 in Puerto Rico, I started working in veterinary clinics, combining my love for animals with professional care for every dog, always treating them as if they were my own.

Over the years, I’ve continued my education, earning certifications and refining my skills to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality grooming. I love seeing the transformation in every dog and ensuring each visit is a positive, caring experience.

I’ve been part of the Groomingdale’s team in Virginia for almost a year.
