I’d strongly disagree that dog is man’s best friend, for me it’s the horse.

It’s always bittersweet to see them go home. I grow to love them, learn their personalities, sort out their fears. Ive guided them through troubled waters, been their with them in what they think are the hardest days of their lives. Ive helped gain their confidence in who they are as a horse and confidence in mankind to lead them. We’ve said a lot to each other without saying a whole lot. they’re my friends. It does break my heart that our adventures together have come to an end. Yet the adventure for them is just beginning. **tstarting

Had someone ask me recently how I got started riding c**ts, fine tuning and fixing problem horses recently. I said, “it’s just what I’ve always done, I enjoy horses. They don’t lie to me, they tell it to me straight. They tell exactly what’s going on, every time.” He then asked how I kept getting new clients and having so many come back to work with me.. my answer was simple “I’m honest and I’m dependable. I do exactly what I say I’m going to do. And if for some weird reason I’m unable? I always make it right.”

I’m honest to my core, if I missed a day on your C**t, I add it at the end. If I think your horse isn’t a good fit for the direction you’re wanting to take it, or a good fit for you, I’ll tell you. Honesty is so rare these days and I want to be the difference. Bring back the code and live by it, not just say you do.

If your horse is expected to be on a strict schedule, worked everyday, learning new things, be on a strict diet and getting comfortable with the unknown, gaining confidence, trust and assurance with the relationship it now has with mankind. Why’re you sitting at home not honing your own skills? Taking lessons, riding other horses, studying, asking questions, being humble enough to learn? Everyone has room for improvement. I myself have a person I take advice, criticism, and hard truths from.

Meet your horse half way. Learn to dance while he/she is doing the same. Maybe then you won’t step on each others toes so much when you get the chance to dance.
