Hi everyone! I'm Wiz 🐶 and I basically run this place! I am hard at work here making it look nice while all of these humans are running around!

I wanted tell you about the services we offer for same day/walk-in appointments!

We are open today!

We can also help with vaccines and wellness checks when you are unable to get an appointment with your regular vet.

Happy Friday! We hope you are all having a wonderful week! Today's "Meet Our Staff" spotlight will introduce you to Dr. Sarah Lowry!

Dr. Lowry graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After graduation she worked for eight years as a large animal veterinarian. Then in 2018, she shifted her focus to mixed animal practice. Some of you may recognize her from her time as a relief veterinarian at one of many local small animal clinics.

In addition to working and running Niagara Paws, Dr. Lowry also has a mobile large animal practice where she helps many local farmers and community members to maintain healthy herds and companion animals.

Dr. Lowry is passionate about reaching a clientele that finds it hard to access veterinary care for their pets. Opening this urgent care with Dr. Coleman has been a dream of hers for many years, and she is very excited about seeing it come to fruition. She can't wait to meet you and your pets to help with their urgent veterinary needs!!

We are excited to be open for our second week, and are so grateful to have the opportunity to care for your pets!

As we continue to grow, we would like to introduce you to our wonderful team in a series of “Meet our Staff” spotlight posts.

First up is Dr. Matthew Coleman!

Dr. Coleman is a native of Niagara Falls, NY. After attending Niagara Catholic High School, he attended Medaille College in Buffalo, NY, and graduated with an A.S. in Veterinary Technology and a B.S. in Biology in 2012. He then graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2016.

Dr. Coleman started Niagara Paws with Dr. Lowry to bridge the gap between general veterinary practice and veterinary emergency centers, and to provide affordable access to urgent veterinary care needs with a same-day appointment/walk-in model for Niagara County.

Dr. Coleman’s special interests in veterinary medicine include feline medicine, pharmacology (including new and alternative treatments), community education, access to care, and One Health.

Just want to give a shout out to two people who have loaned their creative skills to the project. Carolyn Baltazar was the designer of our awesome logo and the color scheme to go with it. Alona Burdett took those colors and ran with them throughout the clinic. We aren’t done with design and making the clinic beautiful. If you need help with projects like these please reach out to them. They are both amazing
