We’re excited to announce that Dr. Alicia Giannetti will be joining our team beginning September 8, 2026!

Dr. Giannetti earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and has experience caring for pets in both emergency and general practice. She is passionate about providing high-quality medicine, educating pet owners, and building lasting relationships with the families she serves. Her collaborative spirit, compassionate approach, and commitment to exceptional patient care make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Giannetti enjoys tackling DIY and interior design projects in her home, exploring new restaurants, cheering on the Eagles, and spending time with her husband and their two lovable dogs, Jolene, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and Rudy, a Poodle mix.

At Sycamore Veterinary Hospital, we’re proud to continue growing our team so we can provide even more compassionate, personalized care to the pets and families of Newtown and the surrounding communities.

When school starts back up, pets who had company all summer suddenly do not. Some handle it fine. Others show it:
• Pacing or restlessness
• Destructive chewing
• Accidents in the house
• Excessive barking or vocalizing

Ease the transition with short practice absences and a good puzzle toy. If anxiety is severe, we can help.
