👀Take a peek at our fun-filled, furry Saturday! 💛

✨ A few lucky pups got the chance to enjoy a well-deserved break from shelter life and spend the day out exploring—tails were wagging, and hearts were full! We're incredibly grateful to our amazing volunteers and generous local partners who made it all possible.

💛There’s nothing quite like the joy on their faces when they return—and of course, those big post-adventure naps!

🎉A special thank-you to the Carteret County History Museum, fishtownebrewhouse, and sea_paws for hosting such welcoming, pet-friendly events. Every human, feline, and canine had a wonderful time and returned with rave reviews!

📚🐾 Whiskers, Words, and Wonder 🎨🐱

We’ve had a purr-fectly wonderful time bringing our Whiskers, Words, and Wonder event to local libraries—and we’re so excited to share some of the incredible artwork created by the talented kids who joined us!

These young artists took time to draw and write about our adoptable animals, helping spread the word and giving each pet a little extra love and attention. 💛 Their creativity and compassion are helping our shelter animals shine in a whole new way!

A huge THANK YOU to the families who attended, the amazing kids who poured their hearts into every drawing and story, and to our amazing volunteers who were the reason this program was possible. Your art, time, and hard work is making a difference—one paw print at a time! 🐾

Having been here for over a year, we are willing to do anything to give this goofball a chance at a bright future.
