It’s not very often that we see patients taller than our counters! 🐎 Ulysses is the most gentle giant ever (at 165lbs) and we love him almost much as he loves chicken chips! 🥰🐾

Our perfect Goldie crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, surrounded by love, light, and many tears. Goldie (also known as Goldberg, the Golden Man, and Captain Crunch) has been our faithful clinic cat since the fall of 2022. Many of you have seen him in his role of judgmental hall monitor, hospital chairman, and emotional support cat over the years. We were honored to care for him in his final years and his legacy will live on forever. We love and miss you, buddy. Rest easy 🐱🌈💔 If anyone has any special Goldie memories or photos, please feel free to share them in the comments. 💛

🥵We are experiencing dangerous temperatures here in Vermont, and want to remind pet parents about the dangers of heat stroke.
🔥 If you are concerned that your pet is experiencing symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, move them to a cooler area, call your veterinarian, and seek emergency services right away.
To avoid heat-related incidents:
✅Plan longer walks or outside playtime in the early morning or later evening, when temps are lower
✅ Keep plenty of fresh water available
✅ Never leave pets unattended in cars or outdoor spaces without adequate shelter
✅ Avoid walking on hot pavement
