I just want to post that if you are shopping around for breeders please vet them on if they know their genetics. There’s plenty of breeders that are just breeding for the money. Always make sure that the breeder you go with doesn’t let their babies go any earlier than 8 weeks. Any breeder that lets their babies go before 8 weeks is one I’d stay away from.

I personally let my babies go home anywhere from 8 weeks and older. I do not do this for money. I do it for the betterment of the rats. If I were in it for the money I would have way more litters than I do.

Anyways I just wanted to point out that you should always vet your breeders and chat with them to get a feel of how they are. Always ask as many questions as possible. Now I leave you with this adorable photo of a past rat that I had.

Sally welcomed her babies into the world!

While we are extremely happy that momma and babies are doing well, all of her babies pending temperament testing will be available and she will be removed from the program to hopefully live out her life as a nanny or possibly find a forever home for her retirement.
