We also do horse riding lessons and host special events. Booking must be made through the website at www.elkmountainriding.co. Minimum age to ride is 8 years old. All riders must weigh under 225lbs. No tandem riding. We now offer beautiful scenic 2023 community tours for 1.5-2 hours. We also have private tours and longer excursions. We look forward to seeing you on the trail soon!

Our career horses are family. When they are ready for retirement, we work hard to match them with the best homes where they can live out their final years.
Some of you may remember Ringo & Dolly. They retired last Christmas, and now have little girls of their own to love. ❤️
We received this update today, and wanted to share the sweetness. 💕

We are blessed with several wonderful campgrounds near the riding company, and this one is so special to us.
Buck Hill Campground is located approximately 12 miles from us. Before Helene, it was the largest campground in our area. It was unfortunately, completely washed away, with the tragic loss of 2 lives.
Although complete recovery may take years, they were so excited to have their first guests recently!
If you are coming to the area, and looking for a cute cabin to stay in, with great hosts, please consider staying at Buck Hill. These folks need us! 🤠

We are best known for our calm & healthy horses, breathtaking mountain vista views, and our friendly & knowledgeable staff who are here for your enjoyment and safety. You can expect to spend approximately 2 hours on your tour, and our rates are very competitive. Our peak season is June-August, so be sure to make your reservations in advance as we fill up quickly. Need some practice or a refresher? Or perhaps you are a new rider? We offer one-on-one lessons with our seasoned instructors, that will have you riding confidently in no time.
