FELINE FRIDAY-

Meet Lazzara

Lazzara is only about 6 to 8 weeks old, but she’s already had quite the start to life. This tiny girl came from a moving car on a busy road. Thankfully, someone was there at the right time and got her to safety before anything worse happened.

She’s now sharing space with an older kitten, and the two have quickly become best friends. After everything she’s been through, Lazzara is still just the sweetest little thing. She loves to play, enjoys having a buddy around, and she’s already using the litter box like a pro.

Over the next couple of weeks, Lazzara will finish all of her vetting, including being spayed. She isn’t quite ready to head home yet, but we are accepting applications for her now.

If you think this sweet little survivor might belong in your family, send us a message.

SUPPLY LIST SUNDAY
The cupboards are looking a little scary…

This week, we’re not asking for the fancy stuff. We desperately need the basics that keep everyone fed, comfortable, and cared for.

Flea prevention for the dogs and cats
Dog food
Cat food

And unfortunately, telling 70+ furry little faces, “Sorry guys, we’re running low,” does absolutely nothing.

They still show up at feeding time.

They still stare at us.

The cats will absolutely file a formal complaint.

If you’re able to help us restock this week, we would be incredibly grateful. You can purchase directly from one of our wishlists or donate toward the supply bill so we can grab what’s needed most.

Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2CHOUDHATP72S?ref_=wl_share

Donate toward supplies: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/GQ5JJPEJ58NC6

Even one bag of food or one box of flea prevention takes something off the list.

Thank you for helping us keep all these bellies full and the fleas unemployed.

Every animal deserves love. And apparently, groceries.

IT TAKES A KINDRED VILLAGE
You Don’t Have to Adopt to Save a Life

We hear it all the time:

“I wish I could help, but I can’t adopt another animal.”

Here’s the thing. Adoption is only one part of rescue.

Sometimes saving a life starts with someone who simply follows our page.

The Follower sees an animal who needs help.

The Sharer puts that animal in front of someone we may never have reached.

The Donor helps cover food, litter, supplies or vet care while that animal waits.

The Volunteer gives their time to help with the everyday work that keeps Kindred Tails going.

The Foster gives an animal a temporary place to land.

The Transporter gets them to the vet, a foster home, another rescue or their next destination.

The Adopter finally says, “You’re coming home with me.”

And sometimes that adopter found their new family member because one person hit Share weeks earlier.

That’s the part we don’t want people to forget.

You don’t have to adopt.
You don’t have to have a lot of money.
You don’t have to spend every weekend volunteering.

You just have to find your place in the chain.

Follower - Sharer - Donor - Volunteer - Foster - Transporter - Adopter

Every one of those people can change where an animal’s story goes next.

FELINE FRIDAY | Who Would Pick YOU?

We spend a lot of time asking people what they’re looking for in a cat.

But cats have opinions too.

So let’s turn it around.

If a cat got to choose your home, which one would pick you?

A The Couch Buddy
Your evenings are pretty quiet. Give you a comfy couch, a blanket and a cat curled up beside you, and you’re happy.

B The Little Shadow
There’s usually something going on at your house—and you wouldn’t mind a cat following you from room to room to make sure you’re doing everything correctly.

C The Independent One
You don’t need a cat in your lap 24/7. You’re perfectly happy sharing a room with a cat who loves you dearly… from the other end of the couch.

D The Troublemaker
You want personality. The cat who knocks something off the counter while looking directly at you. The one who turns an empty box into an event and somehow makes you laugh when you’re trying to be annoyed.

Which one sounds like your house?

Drop A, B, C or D in the comments.

There’s no “best” type of cat. A cuddly cat can be wonderful in one home and overwhelming in another. That independent cat someone passes by may be exactly what another person has been hoping to find.

That’s why we want to know more than “Do you want a cat?”

We want to know:

Which cat would be happy living with you?

We have been approved for a Namaste grant through the Jason Heigl Foundation.
Which means, now we start putting together our spay/neuter clinic.
This will offer FREE spay/neuter to owned cats.
The cats cannot be stray or feral.
Your cat will receive spay or neuter, rabbies and any pain meds.
Stay tuned for the date, location and time.

Normally on Thursday, we ask for $3.
But not this Thursday.
This Thursday, we’re asking for something that could completely change a life:

A SHARE. A HOME. A RESCUE.

These precious souls need our help:

Faith • Flora • Daisy May • Abraham • Millie • Billy Ray • Syrus • Marty • Farrah • Bocephous

They didn’t ask to be here.
They didn’t ask for their lives to change.
And they certainly didn’t ask to be given up on.
But here they are.
They’re safe. They’re cared for. They’re loved.
But they need to be in HOMES.

They deserve couches and beds.
They deserve their own people.
They deserve to know what it feels like to truly belong.

So today, we aren’t asking you for $3.
We’re asking you to help us get their faces in front of the RIGHT person.

SHARE this post to your Story.
TAG reputable rescues—in Georgia or out of state.
SEND this to someone looking to adopt.
Rescues: Please reach out if you can help with placement.

One share.
That’s all we’re asking.
Because your share could reach a rescue we’ve never heard of.
It could reach someone three states away.
It could reach the person one of these animals has been waiting for.

Before Most People Have Breakfast…

There’s already a whole lot happening around here!

Breakfast served
Spaces cleaned
Water refreshed
Medications given
Litter boxes tackled
Animals checked
And plenty of “Good morning, babies!”

Rescue isn’t only the dramatic before-and-after stories.

It’s thousands of ordinary little acts of care that tell an animal:

You matter. You’re safe. You’re family.

And tomorrow morning?

We’ll do it all over again.

The Kindred Question: Which sanctuary chore would YOU volunteer to help us tackle?

Sometimes rescue isn’t one dramatic moment.

Sometimes it’s sitting quietly beside a frightened animal.

It’s the first time they eat while you’re nearby.

The first slow blink.

The first time they fall asleep without keeping one eye open.

And then one day you realize…

They finally know they’re safe. 🥹

Those are the moments we wish every Kindred Tails supporter could see.

Because YOU helped make that safety possible.

The Kindred Question: What’s the first sign your pet gave you that said, “Okay… you’re my person”?
