Poppi update: She’s reacting to the meds well and the tumors and masses are shrinking.. follow up mid November with vet to go over next steps.. so far, so good!! Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers!

A little update on my Poppi girl…

My Poppi is so much more than just my dog. She’s my girl, my heart, and such a special part of our family. Anyone who knows her knows how much love she has to give and I’d do anything to keep her happy and healthy.

We recently found some lumps and bumps that needed checking out, so we took a trip to the vet. She had X-rays done, complete blood panel and exam. The radiologist’s report confirmed our worst fear, Mast Cell Tumors. For now, she’s been started on medication while we figure out exactly what we’re dealing with.

We’re taking things one step at a time and praying this first round of prednsione and benadryl shrink her tumors.

For now, she’s getting lots of extra love, and we’re following our vet’s recommendations.

If you wouldn’t mind sending a little extra love and good thoughts Poppi’s way, I’d sure appreciate it. We’re hoping for many more years with our sweet girl. Also, if you've ever dealt with this, please share your experience..

Wowza!! Winston BISS on Sunday in Boise, Idaho! Congrats to team Winston!!

Congrats to Lori and Chloe!!

Chloe and I attended the Greater Swiss Mtn Dog National Specialty this past week here in Boise. We enjoyed seeing friends and participating in several working activities. Chloe: titled in Intermediate Obedience Rally and Herding Instinct; finished 1 of 3 legs in Weight Pulling (1,090 lbs); and, participated in 2 Drafting events. So much fun working with this silly Swissy.
