Thank you for all your applications and well wishes. Marley and Sarah have found their new home.

Update!
We took in local chocolate lab surrender- Marley- last Sunday from relatives of her previous owner (who passed away). We knew she had a "fur sister"- Sara- but were told they were not a bonded pair and that the relative wished to keep Sara. Marley immediately went into foster to adopt with a pre approved adopter. Problems arose when she refused to eat for 4 days. She was taken to our vet and the blood work and exam showed nothing out of order. Observing her reaction with other dogs we knew she was missing her sister, so we contacted the relative who had kept her and he agreed to surrender Sara to us, as well. The night she arrived- Marley ate her dinner. They have been happily reunited.
The issue now- Marley ( 4 yrs) & Sara (3 yrs) must be adopted together. If you are interested in adopting these beautiful English chocolate labs please complete our online application at www.heartofniagara.org and we will contact you for a home visit.
