For my woodland friends! Set your little mutton busters signed up 💜

Entries are now open for the Mutton Bustin' at the Dixon May Fair Bull Riding on Friday, May 8th. There are only 12 spots and are on a first come basis. Children must be between the ages of 4 & 7 and weigh no more than 60lbs. There is an entry fee required and proof of health insurance is also required. Please bring a helmet if you have one. Family and friends must purchase tickets to the event to watch the children ride. Please click on the link below to enter your child.

If you can remember we were gifted 4 piglets from my amazing sister and brother Michaela Viayra and Alex Viayra.

We cared for them, built them a pen and fed them a special mix from our friend Autumn.

We butchered them a couple weeks ago with the help of our good friend William Johnson and his amazing chef.

Once the butchering was done the work really began for us! I met a new best friend at Bass Pro who very patiently explained meat grinders, brine and seasonings. Allen and i spent hours seasoning and preparing the meat and packing it away.

The most rewarding part was last night when our grandson asked for seconds of the pig 💜 

Here is to slowing things down, living with the land and never taking a moment for granted.

Check out our weekly lesson program and our select weekend date lesson options.

We are a western riding ranch that will teach you the fundamentals and customize a program to your goals.

Our program is for children and adults. Ride at your own level in a fun group environment.

We have added some longer weekend lessons for those who cannot join weekly.

As this year comes to a close I woud like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us at Lake View Ranch and Lake View Ranch and Carriage.

Ending this year we have found a quiet harmony with our neighbors, settled our issues with Placer County Planning and have drastically changed our business plan.

Our stalls are finally complete and are making a great difference with this very wet weather.

Thank you to Allen Clark for grinding it out every day to keep our goals on track.

Thank you to Renee and her family for all of your help with stall cleaning and house sitting so we cando what we do.

Thank you to Charlie and Cathy for keeping our old trucks running! Thank you to john for saving day with the dodge 💜

We went from 10 boarders at the start of the year down to a much more manageable 5. We have found a very quiet harmony.

We have mave made incredible new friends and made some hard decisions to support our peace. We thank those of you who have stood by us.

We are looking forward to an incredible 2026!gg
