🚨BREAKING POSITIVE NEWS🚨

🐴 HISTORY MADE — AND THE FIGHT CONTINUES 🐴

📌As the 2025 Congressional session came to a close, something extraordinary happened.

On the last day of congress for 2025 a total number of 218 Members of the U.S. House of Representatives officially cosponsored the SAFE Act (H.R. 1661) — the Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act.

That means a House majority has gone on record supporting a permanent ban on horse slaughter and the export of American horses for human consumption.

But here’s the truth:
⚠️ Cosponsors do not equal a vote.
⚠️ A majority on paper does not mean the job is done.

The SAFE Act must still be moved through committee, brought to the House floor, passed by the Senate, and signed into law.

And that is where YOU come in.

✨ 2026 MUST BE THE YEAR OF THE HORSE ✨
We need you to continue to :
👉 Call your Representative and Senators
👉 Demand the SAFE Act be brought to a vote
👉 Ask Senate leadership to advance the companion bill
👉 Tell Congress: America is ready to end horse slaughter — once and for all

💫🐴Horses have carried this country on their backs — in war, in work, and in sport.
Now it is our turn to stand for them.

✅ 218 voices in Congress stood up in 2025. Let’s make 2026 the year the law finally changes.👏👏

Re-share Goal Setting: PART TWO

“I’m going to have setbacks, I know. But if I’m feeling bad, that doesn’t mean I’m doing bad. That doesn’t mean I am bad. That doesn’t mean that still, I can’t take some action. Because nothing changes, if nothing changes…”

I want to start this off with some small goals, as it’s important to learn to keep promises to yourself. ✔️

I like to have big goals and small goals, short term and long term goals, then I get a plan!

➡️Write down a few things you want to accomplish. This can be anything!! With horses, with life, weekly tasks, absolutely anything that you need to focus towards.

💜For me this next year, my big goal is to win $300,000 on Adios. I want to be the highest money earning Futurity stallion.

💜I want to win something on my other Futurity horses as well. It’s my goal to have them solid, consistent, and swinging by summer and ready to win all the money in the big races this fall.

💜I want to focus on going to the best shows this year and really only running where it counts.

💜I want to consolidate my breeding program and I want to have a few good prospects coming up.

>>>>Those are big, time consuming goals.

So next, I set some small, attainable goals.

💜I want to make sure when I enter, I pick one thing to improve each time.

💜I want to set an arena record somewhere.

💜I want to go through and declutter my trailer/tack rooms.

💜I want to continue to learn new things.

💜I want to know every run I did athe absolute best for my horse.

Ok… with these goals… HOW do I get there? I need a plan.

If I want to improve each time, I need to be working on that in my daily riding. Working towards consistency and being able to replicate the same run, again and again.

If I want to declutter, I need to set a time…. Ex: In the next 30 days, I’m going to set aside a day and go through things.

If I want to learn new things, I might make sure I listen to a podcast or read a new book/article, once a month. I know if it’s more than that, realistically I may struggle, I might do 10x more than that, but I don’t want to break a promise to myself so I start small.

If I want to break an arena record somewhere… well I just have to go, and keep working on improving. Step by step, my other goals will allow me to get closer to that one.

Some other goals you may have is to ride 3x a week, or haul somewhere at least once a month. It might be to save $100 a week or start making choices now to buy your dream horse in the next 3 years.

You might have to skip your daily coffee or skip a race here and there to help pay for an extra trip to the vet.

Sacrifice now allows you to have those things later.

Make SPECIFIC goals. Put it out there. Be accountable. Have a friend that checks in.

Some goals will need adjusting throughout… and that’s fine too. It’s not quitting if you need to readjust.

My goal has changed this year with Adios to hit a little more stuff early. I want to make all those runs count. I want to haul with a strategy… not just to go. That doesn’t mean my goal is to “win” every-time, but a “win” to me may be placing in the rounds and average consistently.

After we get through Kinder, I may need to adjust, and we will as needed.

So here is your format!

✨Biggest Goal✨

One thing that’s the biggest craziest thing you want to accomplish. That should be at the TOP of your list.

✨5 yr goal✨

One thing you want to see different about your life in 5 years. Maybe your living situation, buying a house, changing jobs, dream prospect, whatever it is… write it down.

✨Yearly Goals✨
3 things you want to accomplish this year. Give yourself this hard date.
(Goal & 3 steps to accomplish said goal)
WRITE IT DOWN!!

✨Next, write down several things you want to work towards this year… small things.✨

Winning a jackpot.
Placing in 5 averages.
Paying off credit card debt.
Paying extra on a mortgage.
Finishing school.
Listening to a podcast every week.
Saving some money.
Riding more often during the week.
Taking some lessons.
Cutting back some friends that are holding you back.
Listening to more positive people in your life.
Saying one positive thing a day.
Saying “no” more.
Saying “yes” more.
Selling a horse.
Making tougher choices quicker.
Not lingering on bad things.
Looking for more positive in bad situations.
Having more encouraging friends. (You are who you hang out with!!!)

➡️➡️➡️And ALWAYS some type of self improvement goal!!⬅️⬅️⬅️

It can be anything… but WRITE it down!!!
Questions? Drop them!! I can’t wait to see YOUR goals!!

This is what many people don’t want to deal with: aging, the slowing down and the extra steps it takes each day to keep an older horse going. It’s sitting in the barn long after the rest of the chores are done, waiting patiently while they work through their warm mash, knowing their teeth aren’t what they used to be and their body needs more time than it once did. It’s listening to the steady sound of them chewing while the world slows down around you. It’s realizing that what used to take minutes now takes patience.

It’s watching joints stiffen on cold mornings and standing there longer than planned, giving them time to loosen up before asking anything of them. It’s layering blankets just right, checking weather reports more closely than ever, adjusting and readjusting because comfort matters now more than convenience. It’s scooping supplements, soaking feed, scheduling farrier visits more carefully, and noticing every small change, because the small things matter most.

It isn’t always easy. Some days it’s exhausting. Some days it hurts to see the years written so clearly on a body that once felt unstoppable. But they gave you everything they had. They gave you their best year, their strength, their soundness, their heart. They carried you when they didn’t have to. They trusted you without hesitation. They showed up on days when you didn’t deserve it and forgave you when you made mistakes. They taught you patience, courage, and humility long before they ever needed it in return. They gave without question or complaint.

So when their steps slow and their needs grow, this is where we show who we really are. This is where love looks like time, like consistency, like choosing them even when it’s inconvenient. Love looks like staying late, spending more, doing more, and asking for nothing back.

The least we can do is give them patience, kindness, and dignity in their twilight years. To make sure they are warm, comfortable and safe. To let them age without fear or neglect, surrounded by the same care they gave us so freely.

Because they carried us.
Because they earned It
Because they deserve nothing less.

Last group of 2025 for “What do stand for”.. It was a great group of kids for the last 4 months who helped one another and showed kindness in sessuons.. Each learned how to be team players, understanding importance of values, watching for others in need, understanding triggers, learning how to self regulate through fight or flight, and build confidence. We were super proud of all the growth! The horses enjoyed their job and the kids.. ❤️
If anyone is interested in having your child participate please let me know, we still have room. Next sessions start the 4th Monday, January-May 2026. Ages 8-16. Shea and I look forward to the next group! 👩‍🌾🤠

❤️ Raised in the barn...where you learned how to show up,
before you learned how to speak up.

Where responsibility came first,
comfort came last,
and quitting was never an option.

You didn’t grow up counting weekends.
You counted feedings.
Early mornings and late nights.
How much daylight was left
before chores had to be done again.

Being raised in the barn meant
your hands learned work early.
Your heart learned patience early.
And your backbone learned strength
before most people even knew
they needed one.

Horses didn’t just watch you grow.
They grew you.

They taught you how to stay calm
when things felt bigger than you.
How to read energy without words.
How to stand your ground
without raising your voice.

They held space for the versions of you
that didn’t fit anywhere else.
The quiet kid.
The overwhelmed kid.
The kid who found more peace
leaning against a stall wall
than sitting in a classroom.

Raised in the barn means
your heart still relaxes
at the sound of hooves.
Your mind still recognizes hay dust
as something close to home.
Your idea of safety
still smells like leather and grain.

You carry that upbringing
into everything you do.
The way you work.
The way you love.
The way you don’t scare easy
and don’t break often.

Other people call it a childhood.
You call it a foundation.

Because once you’re raised in the barn,
you don’t ever really leave it.

It's just a part of you.

100% ❤️💗 They all show me everyday in their own way! I am blessed to be able to help each one if them. The rescue me everyday from this crazy world we call life!

A letter from your rescue horse...

If I could write you a letter,
this is what I’d say—

Thank you
for seeing something in me
when the world had stopped looking.

Thank you
for choosing me
when I was thin,
frightened,
untrusting,
and carrying stories
I didn’t know how to tell.

You didn’t turn away
from the scars on my body
or the fear in my eyes.
You didn’t judge the way I flinched,
or how long it took me
to understand your gentle hands.

You just showed up—
patient, soft, consistent—
and let me learn
what safety feels like.

Thank you
for the food,
the clean water,
the shelter,
the kind words spoken
even when I didn’t yet know
how to deserve them.

Thank you
for understanding
that healing takes time…
and that trust is something
a horse can only offer
after their heart remembers
what kindness feels like.

You celebrated my small victories—
the first time I didn’t pull away,
the first time I walked toward you,
the first time I let my head rest
in the space between your shoulder and neck
and felt… peace.

With you,
I learned that hands
can offer comfort,
not harm.
That voices
can soothe,
not threaten.
That humans
can love,
not leave.

I want you to know
I notice you.
I see the time you spend,
the money you sacrifice,
the care you put into every detail
of my new life.

I feel it
in every stroke of the brush,
every softly spoken word,
every quiet moment
where you let me simply exist
without fear.

I am not the horse I used to be.
Because of you,
I am becoming someone new—
someone braver,
stronger,
more trusting,
more whole.

You didn’t just rescue my body.
You rescued my spirit.
And if I could say only one thing,
it would be this:

I am grateful for you.
More than you’ll ever know.
And I will spend the rest of my life
trying to show you
what your love has done for me.

With all that I am,
and all that you’ve helped me become—
thank you.

Have you rescued a horse?

This was a great Equine Assisted Learning session last night. I stood in awe appreciating the relationship they have created together. Seeing the calm with both, the love, guidance, and forgiveness was amazing.. this was a dream of mine since I was a little girl.. to heal broken hearts and help find a true best friend. My only true best friend growing up was my horse Acacia that gave me her everything. I never felt slided in any way.. I felt so full knowing he’s healing from within.. ❤️
