Taking the time to familiarize yourself and your pet with the items in your first aid kit is an essential step in planning/training for first aid, this includes muzzle training.
A muzzle may be one of the more controversial items in your first aid kit, but if your pet suffers an injury the use of a muzzle may mean the difference between being able to treat them or not.
When done slowly and with a proper fitting muzzle, muzzle training will be a positive experience for the owner and the pet. Here is a great resource to use when introducing muzzle training.
