Barn hunt, coming up! June 6-8!

Good evening, Barn Hunters,

Our June 6th-8th Barn Hunt Trial is now open for entries. The VDS Team is excited to see you use the skills you're developing in training at a trial!

Trial is located at 32655 NE Corral Creek Road, Newberg, OR. Corral Creek Dog Sport Center

We have the wonderful Jamie Morris and Jessica Knox as our Judges. We know we'll have fun courses that will challenge us and our dogs.

Once again, our much sought after Best-in-Class ribbons will be given out on Sunday to the dogs that have the best combined times in their level on Saturday. These beautiful ribbons are becoming popular to get at our trial.

We’d like to introduce our newest instructor: Dennis the Menace.

It’s possible he belongs to one of our neighbors, and if he does, we hope you’ll let us know! In the meantime, he’s busy stealing freeze dried treats from our store, bossing dogs around, lounging on car hoods and convincing everyone at CCDSC that he should just be part of the crowd! If he hangs around too much longer, he’ll be getting a trip to get ‘snipped’ and vetted, and he might even be built a house to live in outside.

If you’re visiting CCDSC soon, know that Dennis isn’t one bit afraid of dogs and makes himself at home wherever he pleases! He’s quite friendly and loves pets and snacks! He’s not really a menace…well, except for his store thievery…

But seriously, if he belongs to you…maybe we should let him know he’s missed and should go back home?

Our most recent UKI trial included a Masters Series set of courses designed by Anne Linn Johannessen Moen. In lieu of a course design fee, she asked us to donate to a Children's Cancer fund. We sent a donation to the OHSU Foundation's Children's Cancer Research & Support fund. Thank you, Anne Linn, for your generosity not just in designing for us, but for your donation!

Keeping your pets up to date on their vaccinations is one of the best ways to protect their health and happiness. 🐶🐱

Vaccines help prevent serious diseases, so regular vet visits are a must! We encourage all CCDSC visitors to check in regularly with their vets and keep dogs up to date on their vaccines.
