How long does a $20 toy last your bird?
Asking for my wallet...

How do you know two birds have picked each other? They preen each other. That's the whole interview.

Small bird, loud room.

Dear the person with an empty corner,
I'll do the mess first. My name is Pickle and I throw seed. Not a little. I take a mouthful and flick it over my shoulder like I'm paying rent with it, then do it again after you sweep. A cage guard catches most of it. Most.
Now the other half.
I sing all day. Not on cue, not for a treat. I sing because the room is a good room and I want to be in it. Put a toy in front of me and I'll take it apart, then want the next one. Give me something to figure out and I'm the happiest animal in the house.
I don't smell. I eat very little. I don't need a big space, I need a good corner. If you've been saving that corner for a plant, I'm better company than the plant, and I'll talk back.
Here's the honest bill. What I cost is attention. Someone who says good morning. Somebody who notices when I go quiet, because quiet usually means something is wrong. That's it, and it isn't paid in dollars.
I'm one of forty here, and we're every color. Come and meet us. Pick a corner first, then pick a bird.

Every morning starts the same: crest goes up, I say good morning, and he answers like we're mid-argument. 15 years of opinions and he's never once said a word I understood besides this. Wouldn't trade it. 🫐

Cosmo's soundtrack said no to greens and we all have to respect it. Sushi and Snowflake: the responsible ones. 🍇

Chai has his own city now. He is the mayor obviously 😎

🎃✨ ADOPTING YOUR NEW FAMILIAR ✨🎃Every witch needs a familiar. Ours just happen to whistle back.
Budgies are tiny, chatty, and full of personality — and right now we have a whole coven of them looking for their person. They'll ride your shoulder, judge your music, and supervise everything you do from the nearest perch (as familiars do).
Come meet your familiar. If you feel a spark, that's not magic — that's a budgie choosing you. 🧙‍♀️🐦
