Puppy training tip 9/30 - You don’t need fancy equipment to build your puppy’s confidence.

Grab an empty cardboard box and let them explore it at their own pace.

Reward any interaction, whether it’s sniffing, touching it with a paw, stepping inside, or climbing over it.

Simple confidence-building games like this help puppies learn that new things are safe and fun.

⚠️ Always supervise this activity and remove the box if your puppy starts eating the cardboard.

Puppy training tip 8/30 - You don’t have to walk through the busiest part of the city to socialize your puppy. Find a quiet spot just off the sidewalk where they can safely observe people, dogs, bikes, and city sounds without being in the middle of all the action. Giving your puppy a little distance helps them stay calm and build confidence at their own pace.

Puppy training tip 7/10 - Play “Ready? Set…Find it!”

I teach every puppy this game! Start by saying, “Ready? Set...” to build a little excitement, then toss a piece of food and say, “Find it!”

Sniffing is naturally calming for dogs, making this a simple game you can use for enrichment, engagement, and redirecting your puppy’s attention in everyday situations.
