I honestly believe that the greatest gift we give to our pets, but we, do not give to people - is the choice to say " sorry nothing is working. It's time for you to go - Live without pain or fear, or hurt, or worrying if someone will prick you with a needle. It's enough!

Today, me and Theresa made that difficult decision. He stopped eating or drinking. He barely walked from one chair to another. It was not our Smokin Joe!!. He came to us about 2 years ago, as a rescue from Florida (where his 95 year old mother had died. He had not place else to go). So we figure we bring him in to NY and try to find a home for him. He just fit in with our group. He and Cosmo grew very attached. No - We all grew very attached. We will miss you Smokey

Our big eared - lopsided smokey joe!! He is not doing so well these days. Lost a lot of weight, and his kidneys are giving up on him.

But we wont give up on him.

So we are all waiting patiently for magic or a miracle. or maybe just a mis-diagnosis!!??!!
