Founded in 1903, Bideawee has been providing shelter, care and compassion to homeless animals helping them to find their forever homes for more than 100 years. Bideawee's mission is to create and strengthen the human-animal bond through best-in-class lifesaving and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them. Bideawee has three locations to serve the residents of the metropolitan New York area. Bideawee’s office in Manhattan serves as a resource for the five boroughs, northern New Jersey, Westchester and Fairfield counties. Bideawee in Manhattan is home to an adoption center, and robust volunteer community, as well as Bideawee's Feral Cat Initiative, which supports community efforts to humanely reduce the population of community cats in NYC through the practice of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).
