I am an 89-year-old man. I spent my entire life working—not just for myself, but to build a future for my children and grandchildren.
I built this house brick by brick with the calloused hands of sacrifice, and now I sit in it... alone.
They say they are too 'busy' to visit. That their careers, meetings, and futures are more important.
But in my time, I worked long hours too. I still made time to walk my parents to the doctor... and my grandchildren to school.
I was there for everyone. Now no one is here for me.
Every day, I wait. Every day, I hope. And every day, I cry.
This isn’t just about me.
This is about a generation that is being left behind by the very people they once carried.
If you still have an elder in your life, visit them. Call them. Hug them.
Because one day, it’ll be your turn to sit by the window… waiting."**
