How You Can Help:

re Program and open your
home and heart to a shelter animal in need of TLC
• Become a volunteer and assist with a variety of
much needed jobs at the shelter.

Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water… but there was no water because it was eleventy billion degrees out and guess what, life ain’t no nursery rhyme (sorry Jack, no crowns here).

So instead, this power couple tumbled into an amazing foster home and are now ready to work their way into a forever home! They loved the dog and children in their foster home, and they are just as adorable and loving as can be.

A new low in animal cruelty.

This dove was dyed pink, likely for a gender reveal, and is now forced to fend for itself right here in New Rochelle. Wildlife rescue came out to try to get it, but it was able to fly just out of reach. It’s bad enough these poor birds have been used for weddings, but now for gender reveals?

If anyone spots this bird around town, please try to get it in a box and call the Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle at 914-632-2925

Happy Friday from Wookiee — he’s found the best shady spot while spending a little time outside!

This playful guy was found wandering the streets of Greenburgh and never claimed. We think Wookie is about 3 years old and weighs just under 12 pounds. This super happy guy is energetic and athletic, so an active home preferably with a yard would be best for him as he loves running around in our outdoor play areas. Adelade came to us through our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program for Port Chester. This sweetheart of a girl showed us right away that she wants off the mean streets and into a comfy home. Adelade is a true beauty with a gentle nature, though she doesn’t appreciate the company of other cats. But surely, Adelade is all the cat you’ll need! Meet Sal!

Sal lost his home when his owner’s move didn’t include him. We cannot even imagine how anyone could give up this chunk of a guy. Sal is what everyone wants in a companion -- he’s soft and smooshy and flubbery and floppy and squishy and warm. He’s the perfect guy to snuggle with on the couch, but he also loves to play! Sal is simply wonderful.

Require 30 to 50 mg of vitamin C daily from high-quality food, vitamin supplements or fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C. They also need clean, fresh water, changed daily.
