The Shiba Inu is one of the oldest and most recognizable dog breeds, originally bred in Japan for hunting, these pups are intelligent, independent, and full of personality! ❤️

• Average Weight: 17–23 lbs
• Life Expectancy: 13–16 years
• Coat Types/Colors: Red, sesame, black & tan, and cream
• Double-coated breed that sheds heavily seasonally (“blowing coat”)
🧠 Temperament • Loyal and devoted to their families
• Very intelligent but can be stubborn
• Confident, alert, and independent
• Often cat-like in cleanliness and behavior
• Can be reserved with strangers but affectionate with their people
🏡 Lifestyle • Great for active homes that enjoy walks and mental stimulation
• Do best with consistent training and socialization early on
• Can adapt well to apartments if properly exercised
