Hello, Sunrise friends!

This time of year, when the ground is dry and hard, our horses’ hooves can become brittle. Hoof oil helps protect them and prevents cracking— and it’s actually on our Amazon Wish List!

A jar is just $25, and items on the list start as low as $5 (about the cost of a morning coffee or smoothie). Every donation—big or small—goes straight to caring for our horses and supporting our community.

We had a wonderful volunteer training day on Wednesday, August 27th! Many thanks to the amazing volunteers who came to learn more about volunteering at Sunrise. We first toured the facility, then got busy showing everyone the ropes of what it takes to volunteer for Sunrise! Participants got to practice leading, side walking, emergency dismounting, grooming, tacking, and so much more!

HUGE thanks to all attendees. Our program would not function without the help of so many selfless hands.

Sunrise was honored to host TCC day last month for our friends at TCC of Richmond! Employees and their family members came out to learn about our program and get some hands-on experience with our fabulous horses! Participants got to tour our new barn, learn to groom horses, play games with the ponies, and enjoy food at the end of their day.

TCC Richmond, thank you so much for supporting Sunrise. Your donations to our program and hands-on help are the fuel we need to keep going. With your support we're able to provide services to the Richmond and surrounding communities at significantly reduced, affordable rates. We were so happy to see you all again and show you around our beautiful NEW facility!
