Congratulations to Sergeant Bishop and Officer Loyal with the Lawrence Police Department who recently finished up their K9 school with their partners, K9 Dex and K9 Nachos. Both dogs were selected from New Pal Canine as part of our Police K9 program. Stay safe, gents!

🐕 Riley! 🐕

Riley and her handler graduated from our K9 Handler school last year!

🐾 Happy National Dog Day to UIPD K9 Riley! 🐕

K9 Riley is a 3 year old German Shepard that joined the UIPD in July 2023. K9 Riley is a single purpose narcotics detection canine, certified in the detection of the odor ma*****na, co***ne, he**in, and methamphetamine. Since joining the UIPD, K9 Riley has assisted in numerous arrests with the UIPD and surrounding agencies. K9 Riley has played an important role in furthering the safety of UIndy and the surrounding community!

If you see K9 Riley and her handler, Sgt. Benton, out and about, feel free to say hi and ask any questions!
