☀️🐾 KIDS CAN HELP THE SHELTER! 🐾☀️

Looking for a fun summer activity that lets your kids make a difference? 💕 Have them whip up some homemade frozen dog treats for the dogs here at the shelter!

These easy treats are a great way for kids to help our shelter pups stay cool and happy during those hot summer days! 🐶❄️

🍌 EASY FROZEN DOG TREATS

You’ll need:
🐾 1 ripe banana
🐾 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
🐾 1–2 tablespoons xylitol-free peanut butter
🐾 Ice cube tray or silicone molds

How to make them:
1️⃣ Mash the banana in a bowl.
2️⃣ Add the plain yogurt and peanut butter.
3️⃣ Mix everything together until smooth.
4️⃣ Spoon the mixture into an ice cube tray or silicone molds.
5️⃣ Freeze for several hours until completely frozen.
6️⃣ Pop them out and store them in a freezer bag or container.

🎉 Then comes the best part—DONATE THEM TO THE SHELTER!

If your kids make a batch, we would LOVE for you to share some with our shelter dogs! ❤️🐶

A few important reminders:
❌ No chocolate
❌ No grapes or raisins
❌ No xylitol/birch sugar
❌ No artificial sweeteners

🚨Derp Alerp🚨

Meet Rudy, a 5–7-year-old Boxer mix who’s rocking a shorter bottom jaw like it’s the hottest new trend. Some call it a slight underbite… we call it 100% premium derp. 😆

Sure, he may look like he forgot how to close his mouth, but Rudy makes up for it with a heart that’s as big as his goofy personality. He’s the kind of dog who’ll keep you laughing, happily accept every snack you “accidentally” drop, annndd then probably drop it himself.

Nothing beats a splash on a hot day! ☀️💦

These pups had the best time cooling off in the water today, but Maria definitely stole the show! 🐾❤️ She couldn’t get enough of it and happily splashed, played, and soaked up every minute.
