Production has hit a temporary slow down, Miss Kimi has taken a much needed get away to Florida with her cousins just to relax and reset, which means I'm now in charge of a 4 yo and an Autistic man so outside work is effectively impossible the next couple of days , really reinforces how much she does and how critical she is to keep the machine running.

Why would you spend money on a damned ol year and half old one horn ? Well...it's probably one of the most important deer on my deck , mixed in amongst the 140, 150s , 160s , it's a young man's first deer, the physical embodiment of a core memory, it's the seed that facilitates that psychological change in a young man where he starts viewing himself as a provider instead of just a dependent, and it's a reminder to a dad that he's doing what a dad should, they are never just a deer head, they are memories.

Why west Oklahoma ? Well here's why , I've gone 2 for 3 in the last 3 years on tanks (for full transparency the 8 was not same place but in the same area) anyone who knows me know how much of our life revolves around deer , I love figuring out the puzzle of big deer and pinning them down but it's a commitment that takes my most precious commodity....time , and sometimes it's an awesome thing to just show up and hunt while someone else racks their brain about your next setup , I checked into outfitters and the price made me wince , but Kimi Williams Box said something that stuck , she said "whats the point of wrecking your body working if don't spend part of it on something you love "? So I booked a hunt with a legit outfit , CVO outfitters, and it was an awesome experience, 5 days of not worrying about anything but food and warm enough clothes, you can tell when folks actually care about you having a good time and getting you on good deer ,and they do , are they cheap? Well...not to me, but that's a question of relativity, do they have a ton of deer ? They actually have fewer deer per sq/mi then at home , but they have a much higher percentage of quality and some the coolest country to hunt and thank you Gare-Bear and Tanner for putting in the work and putting me on this old warrior, anyone curious is welcome to message me about my experience but I can tell you it's something I plan on doing as long as my legs work, if you like that feeling of standing over a deer and saying "OMG...THAT THINGS A HORSE"!!! Happy thanksgiving y'all, I am thankful for so many things, but top of the list is family, today is for family, so we will not be awnsering any business texts or calls, but, if your persistent enough....I'll chunk a rock at ya , not like a going to the hospital rock, but more like a "dang that hurts" rock😀

I love this kid , Mac Bowen was in one of the last fire academies I helped instruct , honestly I probably should have PTed him till he dry heaved most days for being a smart ass , but, he was right most of the time about whatever he was talking about and I couldn't punish him for being right and clever...and if you know his dad you know it's probably just genetics 😀

a lot of big deer been getting killed this week and hopefully this cold front will spur some extra daylight activity, seems like we've entered late/post rut and I'm getting a lot of reports of the bucks ignoring does in lieu of food but there is still definitely some chasing taking place and I've seen some scraps opened back up, be safe y'all!
